[Champion Concept] Req - The Tide-born
First champion concept I've made but I've put a lot of time into his kit and i think it would work out well.
Req: The Tide-born
Lore: Any sane man can tell you that the ports of Bilgewater are no place to raise a child. However, some children call those ports home. These children usually grow into a life of crime and become legends as famous as Twisted Fate and Graves. Req was not like the other children that grew up on the ports. He had no interest in stealing or lying to live. Req wanted to be a sailor, what’s more, a captain. He wanted to own his own ship and explore the seas like the great pirate Gangplank.
Req’s father worked hard to help his son achieve his goal. He persuaded fishers to take Req with them on their journeys, so that he may learn how to sail first-hand. He paid captains to teach Req the basics of sailing a large craft and navigating the seas. Req’s father spent all of his money ensuring that Req would live the life he desired. To help finance his son’s dream, he borrowed from some of the loan sharks and criminals that inhabited the ports.
During one of Req’s voyages, his father was called upon to repay all of the money he owed to a certain criminal. Unable to pay him in full, the cutthroat killed Req’s father and strung him up on a pole for all to see. When Req returned to Bilgewater, he saw his father and fell into a deep depression. In this depression, Req threw himself off of a cliff and into the sea below, hoping to drown.
Req was full of despair and anger when he plunged to the depths of the sea below. Somehow he was given new life, but could only claim it at a certain point in the future. He was given power beyond his wildest dreams, and with it Req knew that he could finally seek out the man who murdered his father.
Req awoke in a cave years after his attempted suicide. His right arm was made completely out of water and he had acquired armor and weapons fit for a captain. He was able to breathe underwater and even call upon the strongest tides to aid him whenever he wished. Confused, lonely, and with hatred brewing in his heart, Req swore to avenge his father’s death with his newfound power. His search for the man who stole his past has led him to the far corners of the world, and eventually, here, to the League of Legends. Req has joined the league to sharpen his skills and become acquaintances with some of Bilgewater’s legends. They may be able to help Req find who he is looking for. And if not, they could be good target practice.
Abilities:
Passive: Gift of the Tides
For every 1% of health lost, Req gains 2% mana regen
Q: Pier Pressure, Cost – 65/70/75/80/85, CD – 8/7/6/5/4
(skillshot) Req conjures a stream of water from his hand and shoots it forward, hitting every enemy in a line for 85/125/165/195/255(.65 AP)
W: Topsail, Cost – 85/85/85/100/100, CD – 15/14/13/12/11 (placed AoE) Req throws a circle of water on the ground lasting 5/7/9/11/13 seconds that increases ally movement speed by 20/25/30/35/40(.01 AP)% and damages enemies for 20/30/40/50/60 (.30 AP) per second as long as they are in the circle.
E: Brewing Storm, Cost – 70/75/80/85/90, CD – 21/19/18/17/16
(target) Req wraps an enemy target in a tight whirlpool, initially dealing 65/85/105/135/155(.40 AP) damage and decreasing move speed by 25/25/35/35/45% for 3/3/4/5/6 seconds
R: Tidecaller, Cost – 100/130/160, CD – 120/100/85
(skillshot) When activated, Req pulls out the dagger strapped to his arm and gains the Tide-born* buff. When Req throws the dagger, it passes through all minions and monsters dealing no damage but instead increasing the damage of his ultimate by 1/2/4% per minion or monster hit, with a cap of 4. Req will instantly teleport to the first enemy champion hit by his dagger, pulling it out, dealing 100/200/300(.70 AP) magic damage and knocking them back with a tide of water. If the knocked back champion hits another champion, both will be knocked back, if they hit a structure, they will be stunned for 1.5 seconds. Req can only throw his dagger if the Tide-born buff is active. If activated again after a champion kill, the timer resets on the buff.
*Tide-born – Req gains 35/55/75 Mag Res and Armor, and 20/30/40% movement speed for 6/8/10 seconds. Req can only throw his dagger if the Tide-born buff is active. If activated again after a champion kill, the timer resets on the buff.
