The current state of choice vs Time available.

The current state of league of legends is unfriendly towards casual players who do not have the time to play game after game. I know what your thinking another whiner about no team builder. Well I have a valid issue with the removal of team builder. As someone with a disability that keeps me in a state of pain. I only have so much time a day that i have pain medication that works to keep me comfortable enough to be able to focus on anything. I don't know if you have ever tried to play league while a part of your body feels on fire but its very distracting. I relied on team builder to allow me to enjoy the game getting the position and champion i wanted without contention. I was able to spend some time enjoying playing my favorite champions. Unfortunately that is no longer the case. I find myself playing less and less of the game i have invested much time and money into and enjoy very much because its just not worth spending 30-45mins per game playing a position i just don't have passion to play. I get between 2-4 hours per medication cycle where i am comfortable enough to focus and enjoy something. When i spend half of it playing positions i have no passion for i feel like i have wasted that time i could spend on another game. I have spent so much of my time and money on this game i wish to continue playing it. But in its current state i will play less and less and regret the purchases i have made more and more. I am sorry if you find this wordy and unnecessary but when you have such limited time every moment matters. I hope down the road riot stats to listen to its casual player base again and opens up to helping out those with time constraints. For those of you who read this whether you agree with me or not thank you for taking the time to listen.

Out of curiosity -- are you really only comfortable with a single role in the game, and only with champions in that role? I have yet to find more than maybe one or two players that this is TRULY the case for: most of the others just haven't explored other champions or positions properly.

Its not that i only play one role. I would like to be able to get the roll i want to play as we did with team builder. I don't want to roll the dice and play something i don't want to play. Then i dodge get penalized. When your time is so limited it helps to be able to do what you want now not later. Otherwise whats the point i play games to enjoy them and right now without team builder i don't enjoy this game nearly as much.

That's fair. I was curious, as personally I tend to find that I can always pick something that makes me happy in one of two positions.

I definitely understand the complaint, and think that Team Builder in its previous form was definitely useful for normal games. I think the current Team Builder is actually a superior experience for ranked (as it means people can't just sit in one place forever), but I wouldn't object to seeing a "None" option for secondary position IN NORMALS ONLY. Combine this with giving a slight IP bonus or a slight queue priority to those who opt for a secondary position. That means you can get the role you want, but there's a benefit to remaining more flexible -- and if the bonus given is tuned right it will feel good to receive it, but not penalizing to those who opt for locking in a single role of their choice.

Maybe something like the following:

Initial: Reduce all IP gains by 3% of their current values.

Fill Primary -- Base IP + 15% IP (111.6% of current IP gain) Fill Secondary -- Base IP + 10% IP (109.7% of current IP gain) Two Roles -- Base IP + 5% IP (101.2% of current IP gain) One Role / None Secondary -- Base IP (97% of current IP gain)

That really sucks. It does get quite annoying trying so hard to get the role and champion you want. Want to play Blitzcrank Support? Nope, he's banned every game. Want to play Aurellion. Nope, Enemy Picked Him. It gets extremely tiring to have to deal with that.

I personally don't have any disabilities but i know where you are coming from. Also I wish riot would change the way they are set up now Me: Time to play some lol Me: I should do a fun build. Team: IF YOU ARE GOING TO DO A FUN BUILD DO IT IN NORMALS Me: But this is normal.... Team: This is ranked. Yeah... They should move ranked back to the bottom, I accidentally clicked it and costed an entire team a ranked game.

Riot is so focused on their ranked community they seemingly don't care about casual players. I don't want to play ranked. I don't care about draft. Every normal blind 2 people call a role and then argue about it and the game goes horrible. Team builder fixed all of those issues. I wish i could get refunded since i cant use the skins i bought when i want to.
