Horlick, what should change

I love Yorick. He'll his is my main. Though I heard that he is getting reworked though why. He is fun unique and has tons of ways to be used effectively. This got me thinking ; if they change him what will they focus on. I have seen posts from rioters saying that his passive will summon ghouls but I think that he cool as he is. To be frank just a few tweaks to make him more viable in the currant meta would be fine and not a complete overhaul. Tell me what you think and if you think a full change is needed what changes should be made?

I agree that he just needs a few tweaks to help his late game and he'd be great all around, as his laning phase is still amazingly strong. That's partially why they're reworking him though. He's so strong in lane and easy to use that it makes him very un-fun to play against, and makes his kit a bit too toxic. This is a big motivator in his rework, as having a champ that almost indefinitely wins lane and makes it hell for you just to become this undying tanky nuisance that annoys you later but can't do too much is just not a good idea. On top of that, he has mana problems at all points in the game, and they are only satiated by having a fully stacked tear and maybe still a frozen heart and essence reaver, and you still go oom after 2 skirmishes and even blue can't help you. He's just too odd as he is now. I love him now, and he's fun to play, but he's in a very odd spot nonetheless.

{quoted}To be frank just a few tweaks to make him more viable in the currant meta would be fine and not a complete overhaul.

To quote a Rioter from 2013 --

"He is a brick wall in lane, with no counterplay, who often loses the game when he can't turn that power into a victory later on." --> Champion Mechanics deny satisfaction from both Yorick's opponent and Yorick's team in the late game. Aka, the most toxic kind of experience a champion can bring to league of legends."

His kit is inherently disfunctional. It's oppressive early on with great harass and great sustain, but it's unexciting, doesn't have any real opportunities for counterplay or demonstration of skill, contains virtually no decision points that need to be made, and falls off super hard in the mid-late game. It requires a complete overhaul because those issues can't be readily fixed with just a few tweaks.
