NO LANE GAMEMODE CONCEPT (Nothing but jungle... no one but junglers...)
I have this idea for a new gamemode, where there is no lanes- instead, thick jungle with a randomly generated environment you will need to explore in order to destroy the enemy base.
Basically, the lanes, as well as the turrets in the lane, are all gone as well as your inhibitors, your base has two entrances, which are guarded by two weak turrets which re-spawn after a while. The minions spawn like normal- however, need leading into the jungle in order to reach the enemy's turrets in their base, otherwise just patrolling outside of the base's walls.
In order for the minion swarm to continue, you must first place wards throughout the jungle in order to lead them toward the enemy base- place them too close, and you'll run out of wards, place them too far apart and the minions won't see where they need to go. Also, jungle monsters patrol through the map, killing the minions and destroying wards.
Rather than having two monster buff types like in Summoner's Rift, this map has four- the red buff and blue buff, as well as a green buff and a yellow buff.
-
Green: Grants armor pen and attack speed. Gained by slaying the Giant Spider and its brood.
-
Yellow: Increases AP and magic pen. Gained by slaying the mad Hedge Wizard and his entourage.
You also have a larger collection of monsters sneaking about the underbrush, borrowing from summoner's rift's original cast of friends (minus Baron Nashor and the Dragons), as well as:
-
Snakes that hide in bushes, darting around and waiting to poison your minions and eat your tasty little wards
-
Plants which grow in very inconvenient places to throw thorns at people and otherwise be at the very least an eyesore
-
Bears, lumbering around, minding their own business but are great big bundles of XP
Well, at least that's MY idea for this. There are certainly much more that could be added, and definitely things to be removed (I'm actually kinda iffy on the Hedge Wiz, especially since most of the monsters in the game tend to be more animal-ish than humanoid, as well as the green and yellow buffs, considering how they might mess up the balance of the game).
