Chroma skins are cool, but how about a different approach to this concept?

Alright so Riot has release a new set of chroma skins today and I gotta say they're not bad.

I like how Riot sorta realizes that the first round of chroma packs were not all that great and tried to make the second round much better by adding nicer looking color combinations and some patterns. Although they do look a lot nicer, I feel that it's still not exactly what we are looking for in this neat concept of chromas.

To give you a better understanding of what i'm talking about ask your self this "why would we want chroma skins? or what would make chromas more appealing?" Some would argue the obvious answer of "because they allow us to choose the color of champion" or "they have cool patterns or designs that spice things up!" and yes, those are valid answers but I feel that it's not THE answer.

With chromas I feel that there are two key points that are needed to make them successful.

1. Have the ability to chose a color(s) for a champion or skin.
2. Have complete freedom to do so.

Now Riot did one of the key points, they gave us the option to chose a set amount of color(s) for a champion or skin which is great, but they left out the second point. The freedom to do so.

Ok so you're probably thinking to your self "dude what are you talking about, Riot does give us freedom to chose a set amount of colors for a skin or champion." Well that's true, but it's not the freedom i'm talking about. I'm talking about the COMPLETE freedom to chose ANY color for the set champion or skin.

So now your probably asking your self "Alright so your saying riot should make every color possible to chose from for the set champions or skin? are you crazy that would cost riot way too much resources to do." Which is true, I don't think it would be wise for riot to spend resources making a whole bunch of recolored skins when they could use those resources for something else, but what else?

I feel that maybe instead of Riot spending resources on making recolored skins they could use those resources to develop a way for us, the players, to customize the colors of the set champion/skin in the client our self with the use of color sliders and the like.

As someone who has made a couple custom skins in the past I can vouch that changing the color of champions and skins is incredibly easy. So what if riot uses that easy accessibility and implement it into the client through the chroma concept.

So what i'm proposing is this; Riot, don't sell us set colors for set champions/skins, sell us the freedom to customize and chose the colors for the set champion/skin.

As a veteran Guild Wars 2 player, I've seen this concept executed beautifully. In GW2 players had the freedom to chose a large variety of basic colors for their armor at any given moment. Not only that, they also implemented rare dyes that you could find or buy so you could apply very unique colors like cyan and turquoise rather then the basic starting colors.

Instead of buying a Lucian chroma pack, how about a Lucian chroma kit, where we can chose whatever color we want, rather then limit us to only 3 bland colors. To me, that would be waaay better then having chroma packs.

Now I really don't know what the limitations are with league client and the game it self and heck i'm sure a lot of people might have mentioned this or maybe riot addressed this somewhere and explained why they couldn't do it, well I looked and couldn't find anything so I figured I'd throw in what I thought here for you guys to think about just in case they haven't. But man if riot could pull this off I feel that it would be way more successful then the current chroma packs.
