Champ Concept - Xilent, Keeper of Secrets
This idea came from the though "If I could make a champion what would he be?"
The end result ended up as a character who sits in close relation to Master Yi, but with neither good nor evil intention. He's an information broker; somebody who can get in, get what he needs and get out. The kind of person who became a student for the right reasons but started using what he learned for his own gain.
A melee range champion who wants to skirt in building up power waiting for a chance to strike.
The signature weapon/look for this champion would be fluffy white hair styled forward and covering part of his face, and he uses his sword in the opposite direction (if he were standing up straight holding the sword in one hand, the pointy end would go behind him instead of in front like your standard swordsman).
P: Gains movement speed while in combat, while his passive is inactive he ignores unit collision (so either he's moving fast or unobstructed).
- I feel like this gives him the mobility he needs without making him a huge map threat.
Q: (really short) dash, at the end he make a heavy swing. Decently long CD since it's not meant to be spammed but it IS meant to hurt. -When I think of this I think of the distance of Riven's initial Q cast but with the animation of Diana's passive proc strike. It's not meant to be a mobility spell, think of it as the heavy move you would end a combo with.
W: armor pen and additional scaling on passive (?)
- I can't think of anything else other than giving something akin to Katarina's OLD W where all his abilities get small bonuses. I personally don't like passive stat-boost abilities.
- The nature of this character is to want to build CDR. I don't think it would be the smartest idea to give him more of what he's already going to get with the current items.
E: builds up "soul" charges that visually float around his head up to a maximum of 5. Each additional charge reduces the time all the stacks last, and all the stacks expire together. (basically you have to be at 40% cdr and casting this ability consecutively to get all 5 stacks). The next ability consumes all the stacks and deals additional magic damage per stack.
- The reason they all expire together is to keep people from constantly being a huge threat early on in the game. He should have decent kill-power at level 6 but he shouldn't be able to just gib somebody without any warning.
- Might need a more unique visual interpretation to prevent confusion with Ahri foxfires.
R: Xilent dashes in a given direction for a static amount (think fizz q if it were a skillshot and went a little further) and stops at the end. Deals a base damage for a single target, plus additional flat damage for every extra target. (so IF it dealt 100 base it would also deal +30 flat damage for each additional target hit; only one number will scale) If Xilent kills anyone struck by the initial cast within 5 seconds (probably better to make it a smaller window) he can recast his ult for 0 cost and 0 damage. (basically his reward for getting in and executing; he's allowed to get away).
- If you dash in and you don't kill the person you unloaded all your damage on the enemy team is just gonna squish you.
- The damage is not spread out amongst all targets. If you get hit you get all the damage. So if you somehow get all 5 members of the enemy team then you're going to put out some absurd numbers.
- the bonus damage from his E is applied to the last target hit if this is the ability he uses to expend the stacks on.
- Visually he goes into a dash stance, disappears, then immediately slashes appear over all targets hit (damage application), he reappears at the end of his cast range ready to finish off whoever.
other stuff:
- I feel like E and R are the key moments in his kit. I like the management that's required from E and the payoff from R if used well.
- I can't think of a decent W that fits with the character I have in my head that also doesn't clutter up the kit.
- I think it would be a good idea to mana-gate this champion just to keep them from spamming E whenever possible. The point is that you start charging E when you see a potential opening to make a play (rewards players with foresight). The other option is to make the "soul charge" thing the resource.
- no numbers. Just kit/character idea. I could probably make a sketch of a character if people wanted me to. I need to work on my people-drawing.
