"The sun's power is my birthright, and its flames are my weapon."

Pyralis is the daughter of a highly respected family in Rakkor and was destined for greatness from her birth. Bestowed with a natural affinity to harness the powerful rays of the sun, Pyralis' gift was unique. Her parents recognized her potential and did everything in their power to ensure her growth into a mighty warrior. They sought the tutelage of the most skilled trainers Rakkor had to offer. She was a fast learner and it wasn’t long before she surpassed all expectations. She quickly outgrew her teachers and began wandering off into the Targonian wilderness on her own to experiment and hone her skills further. By the time she was ready to participate in the Rite of Kor, she could effortlessly weave the harsh power of the sun's energy through the bow and was eager to prove herself in true combat. Her battle was a terrifyingly beautiful sight. Her opponent did not last long. Merciless blasts, searing arrows and seemingly endless barrages of incinerating volleys sent black smoke pouring upwards. When the dust settled Pyralis' proud yet cruel smirk escaped through the gaps of the pillowing smoke as she stood over her handiwork. The relic that was given to her for winning was a bow that gleamed with the same light as the sun. Every time the string was pulled an arrow, formed of pure light, notched itself. Following the battle, the Order of The Solari admitted her into their ranks due to her sheer ability. Her abilities remind the elders of the power wielded by the legendary warrior who created the Solari Order many eons ago and a powerful Solari champion ![Leona](https://ddragon.leagueoflegends.com/cdn/16.14.1/img/champion/Leona.png) has taken Pyralis under her wing.

> Role: Mage Pyralis' kit and abilities emulate her relentless nature. Constant pressure and consecutive hits reward her for landing her abilities on enemy champions which may not be an easy task against mobile targets.

> Passive: Intensifying Beam When an ability hits a champion, they are marked by Pyralis. The next time an ability hits a marked champion a beam fires at the enemy dealing a small percentage of the attack as additional magic damage. Pyralis can only have one champion marked at a time. The effect can stack up to three times, firing a beam for each stack. (Stacks will fall off of the target after 3 seconds unless hit by another ability, refreshing its duration and adding another stack. Once the third stack is gained, the mark will last for 3 seconds and can not be refreshed.)

Q: Searing Barrage Pyralis fires a brilliant arcing blast that explodes on impact dealing damage in a small radius. Every 4 seconds Pyralis gains a new charge*. Max charges=3 (The radius will be equal to about the same size as a Jarvan IV flag. This ability is great for poke and crucial to making use of her passive.)

> W: Immolation Pyralis leaps back into the air firing a super heated arrow forward in a line dealing minor damage. After a brief delay, the arrow's path ignites. Enemies caught in the blaze become engulfed in flames. An enemy champion afflicted with Intensifying Beam will burn for additional damage. Only the initial arrow apply Intensifying Beam. (This is a flashy move that serves both as an escape and a finisher for marked targets. While the ability hits everything in its path, the base damage is weak but the extra burn from marked targets is impressive. The leap with the delay causes this move to be telegraphed making it harder to hit against skilled players but worth it if you do.)

E: Seething Rays Pyralis takes aim firing two quick shots in succession. These can be aimed individually with the cursor or shot in the same direction by pressing e again. The rays will hit the first target it comes in contact with. If both rays hit the same target, Pyralis' next ability is empowered and a stack of her passive is applied. (An empowered ability travels/triggers faster. For example, her Q's arc is completed faster and her Immolation ignites sooner.)

> R: Sunlance Pyralis launches a lance made of solar energy at a target, hovering over them for 5secs. When either the 5 seconds is up or the target is hit by three more of Pyralis' abilities, the lance will rip through the target dealing damage based on how many spells hit during its duration. The lance will continue to shine above the enemy for 2.5 seconds revealing nearby enemies and giving truesight if the lance was fully charged. (This ability is the ultimate tool for players who can land her other abilities. The sight will also help her and her team track down the fleeing enemy if they survive.)

Playstyle: Pyralis is a mage that thrives off of quick little bursts of damage to whittle down her foes. I took inspiration from reading lore on Solari and I got her name by using the greek phrase "of fire". I made Pyralis with the idea of a bit more challenging character in mind. Her passive and ult rewards players who can read their enemies and hit her skillshot-based kit. Timing is also key. She must keep a constant watch on her passive and Q charges to be able to output strong damage. I limited her AOE potential by making her passive exclusive to one target at a time, (much like Vayne's w) while also making her W: Immolation deal weaker damage to everyone but her marked enemy.

In closing, I wanted to make a champion that had a flashy theme and a kit that would feel rewarding to play. I'm currently working on putting numbers to the abilities just to bring an overall balance to her. This is my first post so any tips/advice is greatly appreciated! A big thank you out to my friends who helped me with this by giving advice/proofreading and to my amazingly talented friend April who made Pyralis from just a thought to an actual image.
