Althaw was born to relative obscurity, to an unknown family in an unknown place. But the circumstances of his birth are one of a kind - at the exact instant the infinite power of the runes were last used he was sucked out of time. He had in fact just been born - intended as a blood sacrifice to unleash the power of the runes, the sorcerers in question overlooked one thing that was to lead to the downfall of so many.

Since magic is carried in the blood, the ability to use magic is contained within families. But once every thousand years a newborn with non-magic parents can be born with magic. Instead of becoming a sacrifice to the rune, Althaw instead fused with the rune giving him immortality and near endless primal power over the universe - power that his human form cannot hope to fully control or even understand. The event did more than just give this young babe immense power - it tore a hole in the fabric of the universe - releasing the horror of the void on the world for the first time (at least since the emergence of humanity).

Since that day, Althaw has roamed for an eternity. Neither benevolent nor evil he observes the world, hoping to maintain balance. He has taught those who would listen, it is said that much of Ionian culture is derived from his oldest teachings but has since become estranged. There has rarely been a great event in history without the involvement of this wizened man, from the emergence and downfall of the watchers; to the creation of the shadow isles.

ABILITIES:

AA - (long ranged) off hand waves and the universe contracts around the target slightly.

no "projectile" instead the effect grows on the target - on the hand - and between with time (if cancelled a breaking animation is played)

at the end of the attack the effect is removed in a shockwave between the target and the hand.

can move while casting but always faces the target.

costs mana!

Deals damage over time but if target falls below a certain % it is executed and has a separate death animation - disappears in the contraction.

Q1 - increases power of dot and makes it aoe. Staff sends a small shockwave down the currently cast AA dealing a moderate increase in the amount of damage (and now along the whole path).

Q2 - for large mana cost (not spammable) the aoe-line fractures - dealing a moderate amount of burst and displacing enemies towards the fracture.

W - (with a long cast time) Sacrifices some current hp in order to draw power to himself - gaining massively increased resource regeneration and a shield and/or increased resistances.

gains a shield while casting.

E - larger anivia r style AOE toggle that prevents resource regeneration and/or increases resource costs at higher levels.

R - Expands the universe in a bubble, slowing time - movement speed - and projectile speed.

It isnt explicitly an engage tool since a friendly engage is still slowed down - but can open up flanks.

Leaving the bubble grants a burst of movement speed.

The intent for this character is to create a control mage who isnt a support (both practically and thematically).

He uses a staff not to increase his power, but to help control it. It is used principally to focus additional power into his abilities.

I think it would be quite interesting to see a character with no basic attack and instead 5 abilities! The W regen should be quite important to playing this champion effectively, so punishing its usage is a very important part of any matchup.

He is primarily focused around sieges, denying mana regen can also deny waveclear and the ultimate can give your team a chance to set up for the fight - or if engaged on to have longer to react.

If you actually are in for contest let me give some opinion

His abilities are far too centered around his auto for a mage/support. Suggestion for q

first q : slows down ms, as, projectile speed by 10% and damage are reduced by 20% for 2 sec on a target (point and click ability) q2 : (auto animation cancel) enhance next auto, causing space to close between you and the enemy(s) in an area (so imagine a very short distance-instant cast-ryze ult ) and blink them toward you for 20/25/30/35/50 unit

The fact that (s)he will always be facing the enemy when aa should be expended on (possibly on his w, since it doesn't really fit into his bio)
