So with arcade riven coming out soon, and having arcade sona, i was wondering why alot of the video game themed skins have amazing recall animations but with sona, she just stands there! I think she should get a small update to the skin, giving it an arcade themed recall! Hopefully someone can see this and have the power to tell some higher ups. (I can dream, cant I?)
No, this won't happen.
Sona already got a rework last year. It was a VU, but not huge. The update was of the lowest tier of VUs, because she didn't need a Maokai update. Even then, Maokai didn't get a recall animation either. It's completely unnecessary.
How I see it, the only way she would get a recall animation, is if she gets a Garen-like update; where they completely tear down everything and start from scratch. Maokai's isn't the same because it's using his old rig but also adding on to that, which is why he doesn't have a recall.
On a personal note, I don't think Udyr or Sona will get a big VU for a long time, since their Ultimate Skins kind of represent just that. If you update a champion that is just as good as those skins then what is the point of the skins? I feel that if they ever did update Sona to look amazing (like DJ but w/o the DJ part) I bet people would pick up the DJ because of the music affect, nothing more. The Arcade skin would probably get a recall and would be just as good. :/
