Just for a second imagine playing first person league of legends on this realistic map. Now if this isnt the best idea for legue of legends new game mode i dont know what is. By clicking the link you can check out a video in wich creator beautifully recreated league of legends map. Add first preson characters to this and you get amazing looking FPS game. Please like and comment your thoughts on this.

That's not what a game mode is. That's a new game entirely, because everything would have to be recreated from the ground up in hyper detail. You can't have a cartoon like Tristana or something god-awful like Cho'gath or Dr. Mundo running around on that map.

For a game company as big as Riot this wouldnt be suck a big investment but just big enough so players would need to be intrested in it. The map can be done in a week or two by 2 persons working on it and the other mechanics would take a bit more. I dont agree with you part where you say it is not a gamemode since league of legends has announced fps verson of the game (similar to overwatch) and they called it a game mode. And your last point wich are champions i do not see any problems with them either. Tristana would be a shooter with all her abilities, chogeath would maybe be a bit harder to control or to play i should say, but i am sure riot would figure this stuff out if people would be into this type a game mode. At the end of the day this is just my opinion that i think would be a great addition to the game(since they are alredy creating new game modes).

You think a map as detailed as the one you showed would take a week or two? Not hardly. If UE had all of the assets that you needed for the specific League map, maybe. But there are far too many things that needs to be remade, like turrets, the base, nexus, and everything else that doesn't have a copy-paste model. Then we get to moving assets on the map, like the minions, jungle monsters, dragons, Baron, Herald, and of course, the over 140+ champions. Getting ALL of that to the level of realism proposed here would take years based on how many people they can dedicated to this level of detail and rendering. Then they have to redo the VFX to match the ultra realism too, adding more time to the equation. This kind of endeavor is not a game mode. It takes Riot the better part of 6 months to create or VGU a SINGLE champion. To do everyone at this level is not at all within the scope of this game.

You do know that the map in the video was created by one person in 3 weeks by working a few hrs a day. I am not saying this whole project would take 2 weeks i am saying that the map can be done in 2 weeks easily by 2 people working normal 8hrs a day. Changing game type would then take the most time(to code all the stuff). But it most certainly wouldn't take years. I dont know what do you have in mind but it is clearly not the type of idea i have. Anyways i appreciate your comment. I wish more people would give their thoughts on this.

The map was done using predetermined textures, he just cleverly arranged them to fit the theme. Doing this with champions and other animated objects would require a lot more research for textures and a much cleaner approach: you can't just fuse objects together like the author did, with a smaller scale and dynamic objects it would just clip through all the time and it would be extremely ugly.

Also, regardless of the amount of work, it brings the question of accessibility: would most players really be able to play on this map with more than 2 fps? Realistic visuals require a lot of ressources, if you add gameplay to that your computer will explode. That's not limited to LoL: anybody could create ultra HD worlds, but that's not wise for a game if that means halving your target population.

This is honestly wasted on LoL. The styling just isnt good for it.

This should be made as its own game. And I would give it major bonus points if they made it 1st person VR.
