Kai is a boy from Ionia who, on top of being exceptionally good martial arts, is accompanied by Han, a spirit dragon.

Kai functions as a top lane bruiser that scales as the game goes on.

LORE: Disclaimer: I'm not really good at writing stories but this is the gist of what I imagined their backstory to be like

While taking a lone adventure (as children tend to do) , he came across a pack of wild dragons. He soon became friends with these dragons, all except Han, whose cranky, moody temperament contrasted the child-like demeanor of Kai himself. Nevertheless, Kai took a liking to Han and wanted to be his friend. During the Noxian invasion of Ionia, Kai saw that a group noxian soldiers were trying to capture and enslave the dragons. Kai leapt into battle fearlessly, wanting to protect his new friends. Han, seeing that this boy could easily die, rushed over to save him, along with the other dragons. They were easily outnumbered by the Noxian soldiers, and one by one Han witnessed the death of his fellow dragons. In an act of desperation, Han flew into Kai's body to dodge an attack from a Noxian. However at that very moment, Kai felt a surge of power through his body. He unleashed a kick so powerful, it sent a Noxian soldier to his death. The combined power or Kai and Han was unmatched. Han could enter and exit Kai's body at will, exiting to fight along side him, and entering to unleash a power neither of them knew they had. As more and more soldiers and dragons died. Han felt himself gain their spiritual energy. Not only was he growing in size, but in power as well. Soon, all the Noxian soldiers fell to their deaths. In this new partnership, Kai found the friend he tried so hard to get, and Han found the family he thought he lost.

Passive: Han, The spirit Dragon- Kai is accompanied by Han, a spirit dragon. Han will auto attack on the 4th hit, however Han's basic attacks will deal bonus magic damage that scales with spirit essence. (+0.2 for every 8 spirit essence.) Upon receiving a kill or assist, Han gains spirit essence. Spirit essence increases Kai's damage and Han's and size.

Spirit Breaker: Whenever Kai attacks a marked target, it decreases the amount of damage they deal for a 3 seconds by This effect cannot happen more than once every few seconds on the same target.

Spirit Essence is Gained:

  • When attacking marked targets

  • On minion kills

  • On champion take downs (Both ally and enemy)

  • On epic/large monster takedowns

Spirit essence is lost whenever Kai and Han die.

Q: Dragon Fist/Dragon Might Cooldown: (15 / 13 / 11 / 10 / 8) Kai dashes to an enemy, dealing (10 / 20 / 30 / 40 / 50) (+50% AD) damage to them. If he is within a close range of his target, this ability attack does (+10 / 15 /20 / 25 / 30) (+20% Bonus AD) additional damage and knocks them back. If they hit a wall or collide with an enemy champion, they are stunned. > Dragon Spirit Empowerment- Kai's punch deals (10 / 15 / 20 / 25 / 30%) (+ .5% for every 1 spirit essence) increased damage, and will damage up to two nearby targets, but only knock back the primary one. (5 / 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 seconds)

W: Dragon Spirit/Dragon Fire Cooldown: (18 seconds at all ranks) Han Enters Kai's body, giving him a shield for (4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8% max health) (+.5% for every 1 Spirit essence) and his magic damage on auto attacks. In addition to this, Kai's abilities have bonus effects. The power of these augmented abilities scales with the total spirit essence they have accumulated. When Dragon spirit is activated, casting a spell causes Kai to lose the magic damage on his autos. After a spell is used, Han will return the battlefield. > Dragon Spirit Empowerment - This ability becomes "Dragon fire". Han shoots a ball of spirit energy in a straight line that explodes at the end of its travel, Dealing (50 / 70 / 90 / 110 /120) (+ .8% for every 1 spirit essence) magic damage Enemies caught in the explosion are marked. Dragon Fire does not consume Dragon Spirit. Dragon fire applies spirit breaker. (Dragon Spirit is not accessible until Kai and Han have gathered enough spirit essence. Until then Kai can only cast dragon fire.)

E: Dragon Kick/ Dragon Wrath Cooldown: (27 / 24 / 21 / 18 / 15 ) Kai leaps into the air and slams down with a kick, dealing (55 / 85 / 115 / 145 / 175) (+100% bonus AD) damage and slowing all nearby enemies by (30 / 30 / 40 / 50 / 60)%. > Dragon Spirit Empowerment The kick does more (10 / 15 / 20 / 25 / 30%) (+ .5% for every 1 spirit essence) damage, slows enemies by (40 /50 / 60 / 70 / 80%) instead, and has a greater radius.

R: Dragon Fury Cooldown: (130 / 115 / 100 seconds) Kai can command Han to fly in a straight line while casting Dragon fire.Enemies hit by dragon fire are dealing (100 / 175 / 250) (+100% spirit essence) total physical damage, and marking enemies. Dragon Fury will consume Spirit breaker on those who are already marked. Han slightly push enemies in the direction he is flying and slow them.

> Dragon Spirit Empowerment After Han enter's Kai's body, Kai releases all the spirit energy surrounding him in a circle, dealing (100 / 150 / 200 -300 / 350 / 400) (+100% spirit essence-150% spirit essence) damage to all enemies based on their missing health.

I'd like some feedback on this concept. I dream of one day working for riot or going into character/video game design so constructive criticism/compliments are welcomed! I wanted to create a Champion similar to Karma in the sense that they can use one if their abilities to augment the others. I thought it would be an interesting design a dragon fused with a human in order to combine their strength.

Needs a bit of polish and seems a bit too strong, but otherwise this is a good concept :D Very strong design. Story is a little simplistic, but not necessarily a bad thing. I think it's rather cute to be honest. And since the character is a child, the simplicity informs their outlook.

The kit feels a little muddy. I'm not quite sure what parts of it do. I'll get to that more in a little bit, but for now, what is this champion's identity? Are they a bruiser? Melee carry? Ranged carry? Spellblade? Do they deal magic damage or physical damage?

This kit can fit each of those identities depending on what the champ builds. So scalings and base damages are something important to think about.

The Q is a very strong CC ability. You have the wallstun a la Poppy, but after you collect enough of Kai's resource it can hit up to three enemies at once. Like an Azir ult maybe? Very strong, might need some tuning.

The W is a Viktor laser basically. But from how it's worded, I'm guessing it only goes in a straight line from Kai's position? After you collect enough resource Kai gets a shield as well and temporary on-hit effects. You didn't go into detail on those, so I'm interested in seeing what they do.

The E is a very nice ability. I really like it. Unfortunately, combining it with Kai's Q gives him an unhealthy degree of CC. After you finish collecting his resource, he can basically keep up to 3 people stunned for about 4 seconds or more. There's very little counterplay to this combo. Maybe you want to switch it up a little bit.

The R is a skillshot much like Aurelion Sol's ult I'm guessing? If it deals current health damage then it'll probably have low base damages and a low scaling, especially if it's a multicast ability. Other than that, it just gives Kai more of his resource if he AA's people marked by it, same as his W. It's a solid ability, but probably doesn't have much impact on actual gameplay.

Give it a little more work and I think you'll have something really nice here! :D

Hi, I'm curious about some things.

Is there a maximum amount of spirit essence, they can gather?

Will they lose spirit essence at death or maybe with other conditions?

How will the Dragon Kick look like? Will they jump over a distance or remain in place? (to me this ability rather seems like a "Dragon Stomp")

Could Dragon Might have an increased range maybe without breaking walls?

Could Dragon Wrath have an increased slow duration instead of an increased slow % and range?

What's the cooldown of R?

Whats the range of Dragon Fury (unempowered)? A knockup could be a bit strong, depending on cooldown and range.

Would you consider to make some strong changes to the passive to make it more impactful on their gameplay?

With best regards.
