Add permanent 1v1 game mode

Alright so I think a lot of people can agree that 1v1's are pretty exhilarating. That being said I think adding 1v1's as a permanent game mode would be a fantastic idea. I come from no experience in making games so I have no idea how Riot would go about making that but I'm confident that they could find a way. Basically what gave me this idea was the new mode they added to Nexus Blitz. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe it is called Prize fight. If Riot could find a way to make 1v1's a permanent then that'd be pretty cool and I'm sure it'd make a lot of people happy. Thank you for your time and have a good one.

You're absolutely right, they have 1-on-1 matches at tournaments so why not make a game mode that everyone can practice. Not only that but, they could also make a ranking system for 1v1ers.

This is meant to be a team based game .. so .. why?

There would be a small set of champions that get picked EVERY MATCH. How often would you expect to see ... pretty much any support picked in a 1v1 unless the players have some sort of prearranged agreement?

And if two people are going to have this sort of arrangement, ... why not just have them load into a custom match like people do now?

1v1 did exist a couple of years ago. I can't remember why they removed it though

Then champions like Draven Pantheon are gonna be op and Janna Zac unplayable. Based more on who you play rather than any sort of skill, whoever's the best early game 1v1er in the game will win.

also im pretty sure 1v1 would come down to 1 thing: who can pick zed first.

just make it so you can choose a champ, other guy chooses a champ, and then its a 50/50 on which champ you get. no unbalanced matches that way just skill level

Custom games are so fun that way.

Also, if we make any of these modes people are suggesting permanent, then they will just get boring again. Remember when people suggested Dominion be permanent? They did it and before it was removed, average was ~300 players/day.

Instead you can just create a 1v1 group, and have people who wanna 1v1 join that and play/talk with each other. Make the League fight club happen, if you really want it.

I would prefer starting with like 10k gold and 18 levels and no tower/minions but howling abyss sounds cool too

There are a lot of super strong dualist in the game. If 1v1 is actually a game mode with or without rank, those champions are definitely going to be abused by people, and you will see literally the same 10 or so champions in every 1v1.

1v1 is fun to do with friends because you guys can choose the same champion.

They had this mode a few years ago.

It was temporary but the reason that they never brought it back was that Queue times were so long and it was hard on their systems to support so many different individual games.

5 times as many games because it was only 1 vs 1

i'd like that. It'd be especially good for practicing champions you want to get better at instead of having to play against a computer that makes as much intelligent moves as an 8 year old

All Yasuo mains would be happy customers.

With this they could at least refer to a specific mode when they ask for a 1vs1 during a SR match.
