Hey Gents,

What are some abilities or actives/passives that you think would be cool for RIOT to implement. For example they have Jhins 4 shot mechanic, Zeds energy mechanic, or Rene's rage. I a few ideas for a new game/ability/item mechanic that I wish RIOT would implement just to change the game a bit.

  1. I think it would be cool if there was an active item/ability/passive that would drain the mana of enemy champs or have it drop by a certain percentage for a short time if activated.
  2. Or an active that if used on an enemy champ that would mix up the users QWERDF in some random way so that for example if instead of pressing Q it would R making for some spectacular team fight fails.
  3. Maybe even create a champ that can't use mana but when in the presence of other champs leaches the enemy champs mana to use abilities.

What are your thoughts!? And if you like some of the ideas be sure to up vote! You never know, RIOT might actually reach out to ya!

I got one. It's a great idea, we implement a minigame - alright? And in this minigame you have to play a game of Tetris. The higher score you get the more damage you will deal, but that's not the end of it. Once the match ends you have to get every star possible in Super Mario 64 and THEN talk to Yoshi. Once Yoshi hops away you have to run around your enemy 2401 times until Luigi pops out. Once Luigi pops out he will give you a baguette. Once you hold the baguette you exit and rejoin, and text should appear above the screen. You click on the text to gather your much needed resources for Minecraft and then your passive procs, dealing a certain amount of damage every 100 seconds to an enemy (auto attack based.)

Mana burn used to exist in League (Old Wit's End). Riot removed the mechanic for being too binary. Either you burned away enough mana that the enemy couldn't cast abilities (imagine an item that gave an on-hit silence) or you didn't burn away enough mana in which case the mana burn is useless to you.

I always liked the idea of a champion whose autoattacks dropped a delayed damage AoE (like Karthus' Q) under the target. I believe it was an idea floated for Ekko or Bard, in the very early ideation steps. There was also an interesting idea for an Evelynn rework with a new passive: Love Is Blind, where whenever she dealt damage to an opponent she stealthed with respect to them for a brief time (they lose vision of her, but their allies can still see her unless they were also damaged).

I love VeniVidiVelcro's ideas. If a champion existed that dropped delayed damage bursts when autoing, I would build Iceborn on them.

I would love magical crit to be incorporated into the game. (Preferrably in TF's E.)

I would love a champion whose auto-attacks scaled (completely) from AP, this champion would have to have some base AP, and maybe some AP-Per-Level. I think it would then be best if his/her abilities had very small AP ratios and were mostly utility.

Some passives to synergize with the map, like: abilities changing when inside the river, maybe even scaling off of AP when in the river, but off of AD when out of the river, or wall running, or rebounding off of walls, or projectiles that reflect off of structures, etc. Maybe even an ability that electrifies the river. (Very limited scope ability, but helpful nonetheless.) Passives that interact with the terrain, such as arcs of lightning that connect to nearby terrain, and electrify the water around you when in the river. That sort of stuff.

Autos that deal their damage over time and ignore a certain percentage of the enemy's armor.

I could probably continue to brainstorm new ideas. But the quality will drop really quickly from here.
