Limited Edition Skins
Do they ever re-release limited edition skins? There are some like the Riot skins I'd love to buy but wasn't playing at the time they came out.

It sort of sucks looking back at some old skins Knowing I will never get them because I didn't start Leaugue of Legends in time.
Yes. There are various limited edition skins, now listed as Legacy that they have re-released. Riot skins are special event skins, they have appeared in the store from time to time though.

limited edition skins can be gotten a few ways.

get them in a mystery gift to yourself

get them from a gift mystery gift

wait for a if they add a new skin to a group (like riot skins) then the others will have temporary release

seasonal skins depend on holidays

Wait for the Legacy Vault to open for a limited time. They will list the day, skins, and price.

Buy skins that they announce will become legacy skins. (they just did a big one not to long ago)

wait for a big/glitch were a legacy skin just so happens to be on sale...

buy skin codes off the internet (don't get scammed doing this please. People sell things like black alistar for $1000)

Win skin codes in league of legends tournaments

buy a account that has the skins on it already (don't do this riot does not allow sales of accounts)

go to a riot event in real life and get skin codes

play ranked and get the skin at the end of the session if you place well.

Some come back, some don't. The Riot skins specifically were re-released before the code deactivations alongside Riot Kayle's release (with the exception of Riot Singed, haven't seen that one in a loooong time).
While I'm not sure WHEN they Riot skins will come back, I would have a very hard time imagining they would be put in the legacy vault and never touched again.
The only riot skin that is labeled as Limited Edition is Singed! All the other riot skins are legacy skins and as such are release seasonally. Usually around when its the Pax Convention! so you can either wait till that comes around, or get it from the Mystery Gift. Aside from that Limited Edition skins are not released, but they dont release any time of Limited Edition skins any more, the last one being Championship Riven, which they have stated that if a skin has been purchasable in the store it could be available at a future date (this case being some time after 2016)
