Make Champions to a legend, if their behavior is changed over 50%, legnedary map , a new era
Hi guys,devs,players, the game is changing at the moment very often and it needs time to relearn it or just to get a good feeling again, for the map for the updated champions and so on. I have an idea/ideas which I would like to share with you and want to hear some feedback, if you would like it. (not concerning about costs or technical aspects for realization).
So after 10 years Riot got a very god milestone and is spreading in different ways/competitive games and so on. I play LOL not good but nearly 10 years now and I remember the old Yi (playin AP) and Mordekaiser with Dragonsteal and so on. Some champions are reworked and they are completely new champions or feeling completey different and that is where my ideas are starting:
You have played a few champions or only your 1 favorite one to level 7 and bought/gained/were gifted/gifted some skins and then the champion is reworked and you really feel annoyed, that you are not able to play the old champion again... in the ame manner with the old behavior and/or skin... never again...
Would it be not great if by such reworks of a champion, I mean over 50% of his behavior/class/playstyle, the champion with the old playstyle becomes a "legend" and the Champion level resets to 0, becasue it feels and acts like a new champions?
Becoming a legend champion offers lots of possibilities..., but at first the my thoughts about the champion --- rework over 50% -- newchampions:
Every player which has a champion on champion level 6 or 7 that is reworked over 50%, will get some blue essences 1500/3000 and a historical sticker of the champion for the loadingscreen (split oldchamp/newchamp or newchamp and littel sticker of old champion), level 7 owner a ingame sticker as well. The ingamesticker costs 100 orange essences for activation. All players which do not have these level of the champions can buy the historcial stickers.
For introduction/implementation of the updated champion I would suggest a 2 phase scenario. That means for example Patch 9.30 LeeSin will be updated to a support meatball, but he needs to be activated by the player via 10k blue essencees/rp. If a player activates the new LeeSin, the old LeeSin will turn into a legend with all his skins (for him). The champion level will be resete That means that there are 2 different LeeSins in one Patchversion 9.30, old vs new. In the second phase patch 9.31 the old LeeSinn will turn for all into a legend, not playable any more on the standard map.
And here starts the second idea which includes a legendary arena/map for the legendary champions of the corresponing/rising/ era (10years from now on or legendary 0), On this special map/maps, Aram and 5vs5 only legendary champions are allowed and the map will not change much, it would be a traditional/static map. Old skin are not lot and only a few champions per year would migrate into this legendary circle. After a decade or 2 legendary 0 is closed and not extended any more. I hear lots of people which are talking about the good old times season2 and 5 and so on. This would be somehow traditionally :D . I play from time to time quake3arena and I still like it very nuch, oldschool rocks, i do not know why.
This would also compensate the fast patch changes for a part of the community which still like the "legandary times" and a stable map/behavior for their mastered champions. They would have the possibilty to stay oldschool/legendary for a moment.
I really liked the Odysee event. maybe the future legendary champions will settle to this event as well.
What are your thoughts about these ideas?
