I wonder how riot create names

So I have this big struggle of naming anything, and especially when it's related to some sort of role playing. (I'm probably not the only one) So this makes me wonder how does riot create names, that seemingly are unique, do they just throw the alphabet into a blender and take out what ever remained and scramble it?

Oddly enough, I’ve gone by the name ‘Jynx’ since I was a teenager (I thought it was edgy and unique at the time, hehe). So for the last 12 years or so I’ve used Jynx as my alias for art, games, and a nickname in general. ^_^ Though Jinx hadn’t been released yet when I stared at Riot, it just ended up being a funny coincidence that we have similar names.

I still think Jinx is an awesome champ though! (Even if I’m terrible at ADC) >_>

1 - I used to work on a farm that had horses and ponies when I played a lot of FPS's (DoD and CS) and loved trolling the other hardcore guys. Killing a guy named something stereotypical and absurd like "Deathstriker666" with the name "ATinyPony" and then asking them stuff like "How do I buy guns?" made them lose their minds XD. Since then I've always used the pony handle, and when I joined Riot we were given Forum Avatars, I chose the Feral Warwick one so I smushed the two together. Hence "FeralPony". 2 - The issue is it's just too strong and too universal an item. It's best in class in mana regen, gold generaton, general stat efficiency and is a phenomenal safety, catching, and general utility tool. 3 - The team is fairly large and they are working on a variety of projects simultaneously including Shen and Taric. 4 - Unsure, I know he's really good with Rageblade atm, but other than that I haven't been personally following him closely. 5 - Omen is very dead.

I know a lot of the champion names are from dead languages or are deviations thereof. If you do some research you'll find words or names that can be used to represent something. For example Ulfen is an old name that meant something about wolves. Its unique and has a meaning. Trundle is a word that means "To roll" which if said quickly sounds like Troll. Ekko is a way of spelling echo, and the word echo means to come back again, which kinda explains his theme. You just gotta be creative and find a direction you want to go with and just do some research.
