Recently I've been playing a lot of LoL and I believe I have come up with an interesting addition for in-game. I'm not looking to be hired by riot or anything of that nature just to discuss this idea. Would love it if a developer could message me back perhaps a direct email so I could tell them my ideas and such. It would be a great addition to the game and bring a lot of old players back.
The best way (short of personally knowing a designer) is, unfortunately, posting the completed idea to the forums. The League development team isn't as large as people think, and their professional time is far too busy to reach out sight-unseen to people with ideas: they'd be doing nothing else if they took the time to do that.
I know that when ideas are sent in to Riot's Customer Interaction team, the response is usually "post it on the forums," so unless you manage to tease enough of your idea in, say, a Tweet to a Riot Designer a full forum post that draws a lot of upvotes is probably your best chance.
