Not a fan of the Aatrox rework

I am personally not a fan of the new Aatrox. It's not his look that gets me disliking this rework. It's the fact that his kit and abilities feel like they should be on Riven instead of him. I know that Riot works hard on champion releases and reworks, but this one fails on all accounts. When I hear how Aatrox new abilities work, all I think of is Riven got a new kit to work with. Aatrox ult makes me think that there is a new champion coming out. I will be the first to admit that I suck at playing the old Aatrox, but this rework does not fit the Aatrox. When I think of Aatrox, I think of a battle tested Darkin with a sword that has a lust for blood. The new Aatrox may have the same lore in a way, but the kit does not fit the lore at all.

I’m learning both Riven and Aatrox (mostly Aatrox unless banned) but they feel different. Riven I feel you have to weave in and out of battle with abilities and autos. Aatrox (still a huge work and progress) I feel he doesn’t have the agile abilities riven does. He’s more of a stick on an enemy as he slashes at them and is more of a cc bot in team fights. He feels like a juggernaut like Darius where you fight front to back in a fight while riven feels like she has the burst and mobility to get to the back like and take em down. I get that yes there q is a three hit combo, w is cc and e is a dash but I combo them differently.

You said your only upset about the gameplay but this rework fails on all accounts as well?
