Brink, the Magic Bullet
This is a champion concept for BRINK, THE MAGIC BULLET. He is a marksman. And a magician :)
Passive: The Magic Bullet
- Brink's basic attacks deal magic damage.
- Brink's critical strikes deal 75% damage but explode on contact, sending arcane shrapnel out in a small radius, dealing 50% of the attacks damage in an area.
Q: Ricochet
- Brink charges and vector-casts a trajectory for a special bullet, which fires after a delay. If the round hits a wall or terrain, it will bounce off and travel in the opposite direction. Enemies hit by Ricochet will be marked with "Presto!"
- Ricochet can only bounce twice. Those hit by Ricochet twice will take 50% damage the 2nd time.
- Damage: 100/150/200/250/300 (+ 50% bonus AD)
- Cooldown: 16/15/14/13/12 seconds
- Mana: 80/90/100/110/120
W: Presto! (Passive)
- Every 4th attack from Brink's gun will mark his target, granting true sight of them for the next 3 seconds. The next shot will detonate the mark, dealing bonus magic damage based on the target's max health. Detonating the mark will also make Brink PHASE for 1 second, gaining invisibility and a 50% rapidly decaying movement speed boost.
- Damage: 10/20/30/40/50 (+ 1/2/3/4/5% of target's max health)
E: Now You See Me
- Brink dashes a short distance in the cursor's direction, leaving a clone in his original position. The decoy will explode after 2 seconds, slowing those nearby by 25% for 1 second. If the explosion hits an enemy, half the cooldown for this ability is refunded.
- Cooldown: 22/20/18/16/14 seconds
- Mana: 50 at all ranks
R: Sleight of Hand
- In his ultimate display of prestidigitation, Brink hops onto the nearest wall or allied turret, becoming untargetable for the next 8 seconds. He summons a magical Gatling gun and fires rapidly in an area, dealing magic damage.
- Brink fires 4/5/6 rounds per second for a total of 32/40/48 shots.
- Damage per shot: 5/10/15 (+ 0.5% total AD)
- Shots from Sleight of Hand can critically strike.
- Cooldown: 100/95/90 seconds
- Mana: 150 at all ranks
Champion Overview:
Q: How is Brink unique to League of Legends? A: For starters, he's a marksman who deals magic damage. This opens up a plethora of new team compositions. For instance, both your solo lanes could be AD and they wouldn't have to worry about having only one source of damage. He also interacts with terrain in ways that have not yet been explored in this game yet. Brink is interesting because he brings variety to team makeup, and also to the way teams vie over objectives. Brink brings an unprecedented amount of zone control for a marksman, perhaps only matched by Jhin.
Q: Brink sounds super OP?! A: Brink would not be OP. His only escape has a long cooldown and is easily exploitable if the clone is avoided. Ricochet, his bread and butter ability, IS pretty strong and versatile, and could be really effective in a poke comp, but it too has a long cooldown and costs quite a bit of mana. It's also vector-casted, and difficult to aim. His ultimate is also balanced, because it could be disastrous if done at the wrong moment. It could mean an immediate death when he leaps down from that wall of turret. Also, if the turret dies while he's on top of it, it ends the channel of the ultimate.
Q: Why would I play Brink? A: Brink is just a cool guy. He's a magician who brings a ton of fun and whimsicality to the playing field, and his kit is absurdly awesome. Who wouldn't want to play Brink?
Q: Lore? A: I have not fleshed out the backstory for Brink, but I want him to be related to Leblanc and the Black Rose in some capacity -- possibly an ex-member who went rogue and became a vigilante, preferring his own moral code.
