League of Legends MMORPG: Runeterra is a great setting for an MMO

I was thinking that with the extensive lore of Runeterra, and all of the characters of League, that it would be wicked if Riot Games(or someone) developed an MMO set in the world. I'm posting this here to see if anyone else agrees/has some ideas to share about this concept.

Obviously it's up to [them] but I'm just saying there's not been any major MMO's in a while(at least none that interested me), and a world as vast and well crafted as Runeterra would be a great setting for a new MMO.

Thoughts?

I agree 100%

Although it might be difficult to make room in the lore for players (as you can't exactly play champions in an mmorpg).

Side note: why do people often refer to mmorpg simply as mmo? There's other mmo genres than mmorpg.

It could be possible if the League lore was expanded and connected into one big storyline. Take WoW lore for example. LoL lore isn't that detailed and, well, big, to create a consistent storyline for MMORPG game.

Guys and Gals what if they made an mmo and in the mmo in towns and cities you could enter Summoner's Rift as your MMO character and play the LOL Moba!
