[Elinet, the Glitch Bane]

Appearance: Elinet has shoulder length lavender hair, pulled back into a short ponytail. She wears a form-fitting white long sleeve, topped by a knee length purple cape, along with white pants and black combat boots. On each article of clothing, a golden 'M' is embroidered, representing her chosen name, Mentius. Her eyes are silver, however when her passive is activated, they turn golden. Height: 5'7, Age: Unknown, Gender: Female

Lore: Elinet was never supposed to exist. However, during the creation of one of Viktor's many inventions, energy had escaped. This energy was a glitch, something that appears from an error. This error started growing the more and more Viktor created, eventually taking form into Elinet. Elinet, confused and afraid, fled into hiding, stay hidden for a while. Being an entity of pure energy, she needed no food, but sleep was essential so she did not lose her physical form. One day, Elinet woke up in pain, a new feeling to her. More and more energy flowed into her, her screams heard for miles. Eventually, she was found by a boy, one who could reverse time. He revealed himself as Ekko, and from there he taught her the ways of Zaun, a land full of technology. As her energy continued building, she eventually was able to materialize a weapon, Glitch Bane. However, this weapon was a fiend for energy, always craving more and more. Eventually, Elinet developed the ability to harvest energy from others, including herself(although she would never do this due to the fear of losing her physical form), to sustain her weapon. The weapon started morphing and changing, getting stronger, gaining the ability to take the energy from ones brain. This allowed for memory manipulation. In fear of losing control and hurting her friend, she took the memory of her from him and left, running as far away as possible. Eventually, she joined the League of Legends, finally finding a place she can harvest energy as much as she wants. However, much to her horror, Ekko was there as well. Guilt overtakes her, and she thinks about returning his memories, but never does in fear of making him angry...

Quotes: Taunts: -"Glitch Bane hungers, wanna provide the meal?" -"You look like you have a lot of Glitch to give." -"Don't take it personal, just stealing your memory." Emotes -"Yawn, I'm pretty tired. All this Glitch harvesting." -"I wonder what Zaun looks like around this time." -"Was that a bird? I've never seen a bird!" That point-and-click knock-up with inbuilt lifesteal and attackspeed seem... OP...

Hey Noktem. If you don't mind, I'll critique this for you.

I'm not sure that this passive is healthy for gameplay. It just encourages the player to intentionally die every 5 min.

I feel that your Q is too similar to Vi's R. Additionally, most assassins don't have reliable hard CC, let alone point and click ones.

Elinet's W should definitely not be a heal toward allies; that's mainly an Enchanter's skillset. If anything it should be heal for herself, but it cannot directly scale with her primary damage source. To be honest though, this skill feels incredibly out of place

The E feels pretty subpar to me as a basic ability. If anything, this skill should have been your main passive along with the Glitch generation.

I'm assuming you can only have 100 Glitch at max. If so, your R has a conflicted purpose. It costs the same as your E, which doesn't make sense considering you need your E to synergize with your R to make full use of its damage output. As for the CC, again most assassins don't have such strong CC.

What seems to be bothering me the most though is that you didn't incorporate much of the character's lore into its design. What's the purpose of the cat motif? Is this supposed to be an energy being or a cat homunculus? I'm not quite sure. Also, I'm still not clear on what Glitch is or its purpose. Is it supposed to be a damage inhibitor or a steroid? In the lore, it's a restraint, but in the kit, it's an amplifier. Additionally, you don't elaborate on the Weapon's energy cravings in the skillset, which could have been an interesting design opportunity. Another interesting idea would have been a skill that capitalized on overload from the Glitch. Again, you could have made something interesting with the memory manipulation aspect, but instead it's glossed over.

I believe that this champion has the potential to be something that is unique and awesome, but it seems to be suffering from an overall thematic crisis. I believe if you commit to one/two unique concepts, you can come up with something interesting.

Anyways, good luck out there, Summoner!

I really love the passive you have going here. Alternate resources are something I've become very fond of, and this is one of the more clever ones I've seen, tying in wonderfully with the champions lore.

Speaking of lore, I'm a big fan of this lore. I think more tie-ins to other champions' lore is always a good way to go, and you've done that quite nicely without making it seem forced.

On to the abilities. I already gave my feedback on the passive, so the Q first. On one hand, I like the brief channel and the fact that it doesn't do damage, but even so...Any kind of point-targeted dash has to be considered carefully. It just feels like a mini Vi ult to me, which not only makes it less unique, but also makes me a bit wary of its balance, especially with a cooldown that low and no cost.

The W doesn't really mesh with her other abilities. It feels a little like it's just been tacked on to give her some form of CC, but it's point-click, and people hate point-click CC for a reason.

Her E is my favorite ability. There are too few abilities that boost attack range in the game, and this is a good one. To be fair, it's nearly a toned-down copypaste of Aatrox's ult, but there are a lot of copied abilities in League, and Aatrox is getting reworked soon anyway. I will say that I don't know if it's necessary to make Glitch easier to gain with it, since it's already a strong ability, but it's probably my favorite thing here for how well it synergizes with her proposed playstyle.

Her ult just seems a bit odd to me, for two reasons. Firstly, combining her ult and E would result in 40% additional attack speed and a bunch of AD for a while; they just feel too similar to me, like Steroid 1 and Steroid 2, forcing her into a super binary play pattern of "I'm going to attack you a bunch and I hope you die." Compare to other assassin's ults, like Talon, Kayn, Zed or Ekko; they all offer some form of outplay, damage avoidance, or escape potential. This just makes her a stat-checker who would die to anyone who can outstat her. The other reason is that she seems like a very much single-target kind of champion, and like her W, the 500-radius shockwave just feels a little bit tacked on to me, especially since it deals almost no damage.

It just feels like you're trying to have her do too many things while not being overloaded; she has CC, steroids for AD, attack range and attack speed, gap closers, AoE damage...And it ends up with none of them being particularly special, and feeling really bland. She just doesn't feel like she has that glitchy theme to her. Feels like you could just replace the word "glitch" in her abilities with rage or something, and it would feel exactly the same. I would try to play up the glitch and memory aspects of her, give her some ways to trick and deceive, and most importantly, give her an out so she doesn't just go in and then immediately die. Pretty much every assassin has an escape.

Either way, I love the concept, even if some work could be done. Play on!

I just took another look at this, and let me just say: <3

Seriously, the different direction you took it in is so much better than it was before. At this point, my only real problem is that 'Glitch Hop' sounds kinda meh. Other than that, brilliantly designed, brilliantly edited. Nicely done!

Also, you might want to make her ult not cost all of her Glitch. It seems hard to use in most situations.

To be blunt you've failed at creating a new style of resource. Rage is just a better version. Renekton/Trynd/Gnar all function in a similar style across all your spells.

Just to be sure, the only way you generate "glitch" is from the passive? Even if there is another way, forcing a basic spell and the ult to consume all "glitch" is overkill. If you want it to differ from Rage you need to find a unique way to generate it.

For a quick explanation :

Typically Rage is generated from damage dealt. It can change from character to character. Heat is generated from spells cast and decays over time. Energy is a resource pool that slowly regenerates, and typically your skills have a way to refund energy and a low cd skill to dump energy into.

Excluding resource less and mana you need to find a way for "glitch" to be generated and spent differently for it to have a reason to exist.
