(Champion Concept) Sharla, The Imprisoned
(Posting this to save it. I am currently writing out the rest of it.)
Basis
Sharla is a Shurima-influenced tank, who is visually and power set wise, based upon the Shadow Isles. She excels in team fights, and has very little potential on her own. She is a tank who loses a lot of her health through her kit, but also has the capabilities of regening this health. She is designed to be played as a Tank Support, and excels alongside marksmen with long cool downs.
Lore
(If needed, any of these details can be altered to better fit the game)
Sharla spent her young adult life as a slave, before the fall of Shurima. Her kind soul had attracted the attention of Azir himself, and they had begun an affair. Throughout the affair, Sharla had made her distaste of being a slave known, and after a year of their meetings, he vowed to outlaw enslavement. After another few months of their involvement, she revealed herself to be having a child, and is confident that Azir is the father. Afraid of the effects of parenting a descendent of a slave girl, he forbid her from meeting with him, and recalled the freeing of the slaves. These actions helped to bring about the end of Shruima. Sharla had fallen shorten before the chaos has begun, and had reawaken a while later, as a spirit, the same shade of tan as the deserts of Shruima. After expansive searches of Shruima, she was unable to find Azir, or any hope that her child had survived. (The child had been recently birthed. She hopes that by some coincidence, that it had survived.)
She wandered across the world of Runeterra, searching both for where her lover and child may have gone, but also for a method to return her to life. Along her journey, she encountered a withered man, who she learned was able to see her. Having spent years alone, she is eager to find someone she can chat with, along with being overly trusting, she tells him the story of her life. He explains to her the story behind the affair, the hopes of evoking her enslavement, and the end of her life. The man had shown interest in her story, and eventually told her of a method of returning her to life. All he asked was that she follow him.
She eventually followed him to a very destroyed, and evil land. She enters further into this land, until the man eventually reveals to her that this is the Shadow Isles, and that he could use her for his own means. He then, using a sadistic looking tool, captures her soul. She is taken to a room only slightly resembling a smithy. Within it, is a large, dark suit. He uses the tool to force her soul into the chest of the suit, and seals it shut. The suit then surges to life, glowing in blue, sharp runes.
The man goes on to say how he had worked on this suit to be used as a weapon to show the intense power and cruelty of the Shadow Isles. He directs the tool outside of the smithy, and the suit travels. He goes on again about how she will have full control of the suit after it leaves Shadow Isles territory, and that she should give up hope of ever leaving it, or of seeing her lover or child again.
After leaving the Shadow Isles, she realizes that he was right, and she can control the bulky suit. It constantly weighs her down, and despite being more mobile, she still feels empty. She then sets herself out on a journey, not only back to searching for those she lost, but also to exit the suit, and seek vengeance for the crimes committed against her.
(This was only my first edit of it, so it could definitely use some tuning up.)
Spells
Passive- Last Gasp Upon dying, she temporarily leaves the suit, appearing as a sand-colored dust. Her move speed is multiplied by 1.5, and she has 5 seconds to travel to either an enemy or an ally. If an enemy, slow and damage them. If an ally, heal and speed them up.
Q- Spear Pierce Jabs her spear in a skillshot-based melee attack. The pierce pulls the first enemy hit by it to her, while slowing all others. 15 Seconds cooldown, Goes down by 1 per upgrade. Scales with AD.
W- Bodyblock Shields an ally for 3 seconds, resulting in them only receiving 60% of damage. The other 40% is sent towards Sharla. Cooldown starts after the shield ends, lasts 12 seconds, down by 0.5 per upgrade.
E- Enduring Strike Her next auto attack does slightly larger damage, while also healing her for 8% of her missing health. Increases by 2% per upgrade.
R- Last Resort
Passive- Gains a 100 health shield whenever an ally is nearby. This shield increases by 50 for every other nearby ally. 50+ Health shield, 25+per extra ally per ult upgrade. Shield strength also scales with her max health. Active- Drains 30% of her health in order to boost an allied champion. Increases their attack speed, cooldown reduction, and a shield equal to 25% of their max health. If casted on herself. it instead drains 50%, but also provides a bonus to Armor and Magic resist, Has a 150 Second cooldown. Goes down by 15 per upgrade. This ability is not altered by cooldown reduction.
Appearance
(I have very little artistic talent, or i'd have done somethin for it myself! :P Also felt the idea was a bit too specific to just search for a basis on) As said in the lore, she appears as a hulking suit, in the same form and coloration of the Shadow Isles. Think Thresh, but with a more knight-esque head, a bigger body, and instead of the green pigment, it is a teal/bluish color. She also wields a long, single-bladed spear. It also shares the coloration of her suit, with the blue coloration separating the blade and handle. Alongside all of this, the only color outside of the Shadow Isles color scheme is a faint, tan glow which appears through the seams of the 'door' on the chest. After death, the suit has a large scratch on the chest, and the spirit is then visible, in a tan, desert-esque glow. Affter this too dies, the spirit is not visible at all. She also contains a soothing voice, which also has a slight, metallic echo effect. Her voice cannot be heard by allies or enemies, only sound effects.
Other
I'd been thinking of the idea for some time now, but only now decided to put a bit of emphasis into it. I think the lore itself needs some touching up, so i'll put some time into fixing that up. It originally turned out as a cool idea for a Shuriman support, but looking over it now, it isn't so Shuriman, now is it...? Every Shruiman is based off of an existing Egyptian god, right? With her later influence by the Shadow Isles, it's only right her 'influence' is Osiris, right? He's probably a good inspiration visually for what to expect from her. Think if Osiris had a battle armor.
