Ich'Zen: The Void Plague

Hi!

This is the first time I'm posting anything anywhere on the League forums, so please be gentle. I've got a bunch of champ ideas that I've had cooking for a while, and I'd like to share some of them and get some feedback on them. I'm making really rough estimations with regards to the raw numbers surrounding these abilities and I would never expect them to be concrete. Also, I have little-to-no artistic talent myself so don't expect splash art and the like unless I get lucky and someone feels generous. I also haven't had the chance to give most of these champs much if any backstory yet. I was mainly focusing on how they play and function in-game.

Okay, disclaimers out of the way, here's my first champion idea!

Ich'Zen was born out of the idea of having a full Voidling team. Lacking a 5th entity who is directly from the void (Malzahar and Kassadin became part of it, they didn't come from the void), I decided to try and make a true support, since technically Vel'Koz can manage but I'd honestly rather have him mid myself. Anyway, here's the low-down on his abilities:

Passive: Symbiosis – Ich’Zen can attach himself to allied champions by clicking on them, granting both of them bonus armor and MR(Based on Ich’Zen’s armor and MR) and their movement speeds are moved to whoever’s is higher. As long as he remains within a certain range of his host, they both maintain the bonuses. • Range – 800/900/1000 • Armor/MR – 10/20/30% Ich’Zen’s bonus Armor/MR

Q: Spurs – Passive: Ich’Zen generates a shield around his host, which grows as Ich’Zen casts abilities. When Ich’Zen doesn’t have a host, he still receives a shield. Active: Ich’Zen releases a cloud of stinging toxin around him and his host. The toxin speeds up allies in its AOE, stacking up to 2 times. • Range – 200 • Cost – 30/35/40/45/50 mana • Shield – 10/15/20/25/30 (per cast) Cap - 50/75/100/125/150 o Duration – 3 sec • Movement Speed – 25% • Duration – 3 sec • CD – 4 sec

W: Cesspool – Ich’Zen drops a pool of pestilence at a target location that grants vision in a small area. When an enemy champion walks over it, they take magic damage over several seconds and have their armor and MR reduced. Ich’Zen can hold 2 Cesspools and can only have 2 placed at a time. • Range – 250 • Cost – 60/70/80/90/100 • Armor/MR reduction – 5/7.5/10/12.5/15% o Duration – 3 sec • Magic Damage – o Per second: 40/55/70/85/100 (+20%AP) o Total: 120/165/210/255/300 (+60%AP) • Charge Timer – 30/25/20 sec

E: Whiplash – Ich’Zen launches his tether in a line, slowing and dealing magic damage to each target in its path. This ability’s range can be increased based on the distance between Ich’Zen and his host (which breaks the tether). • Min/Max Range – 550/ Max tether range • Cost – 75 Mana • Slow – 40/45/50/60/65% o Duration – 1.5sec • Damage – 65/100/135/170/205 (+65%AP) • CD – 8 sec

R: Mental Override – Ich’Zen selects a “Subject Zero” (ally or enemy). If that champion dies while under the effect of this ability, Ich’Zen will take control of that champion. While controlling that champion, their abilities are costless. In addition, the target’s health bar is replaced with Ich’Zen’s current health. The effect ends after several seconds (unless the host is killed before then), at which point Ich’Zen returns to his normal form. Ich’Zen’s passive is disabled for a while after this ability ends. • Duration (initial) - 7 sec • Duration (control) - 20/25/30 sec • Cast Range - 900 • Cost – 100 Mana • CD – 120/100/80 sec

Okay, I think that's everything! Please let me know what you think! Constructive criticism is greatly appreciated!

I like the concept. How does he get off a champion clicking away from them. How does R work does "subject zero" 's death use thier stats or Ich'Zen?

I figure he'd probably just walk far enough away if he wants to break the tether for whatever reason. If there are two targets within his tether range, he'd probably have to break the first tether before he could reattach to someone else.

As for the R, I'm gonna go with their stats, except health. Ich'Zen's health bar becomes the one the "Subject Zero" uses until either the ability ends or he dies.

Lol I didn't get that it was a tether xD. I took the word attached literally like he hopped on them.

That would certainly give an incentive to stack health. tho 20/25/30 seconds all seem really long as you would probably just want to use this on your adc or mid laner in a team fight.

How does this work with yorick ultimate Yorick? What champion gets ultimate priority? or after death passives KogMaw Sion Karthus Zyra ?

Last thing does gold when you kill something with ulti give them gold or you?

Sorry if it feels like an attack on your champion just wanna help make him great :)

Yeah, I'll reword that, it's a little unclear. This is meant to be sort of like... well, Kalista's tether, but she wasn't announced when I'd started working on this.

True. I went back and forth between it being 10 seconds and what it is now. I want Ich'Zen to have an opportunity to capitalize on the champion he takes over, but I don't want him to be stuck like that forever. Maybe having it scale 10/15/20 seconds... Hm.

No, no need to apologize; it's all good feedback and things I need to consider!

I hadn't considered post-death passives like the ones you mentioned, my thought is that in cases like KogMaw, the ability would work as long as Kog'Maw died under it's effect, and the timer would only start once Kog'Maw had exploded. Same for Sion, Karthus, and Zyra. As for Yorick's ultimate, I think what would happen is that the person would be revived by Yorick's ult first. As long as the marker for Ich'Zen's ultimate doesn't run out before Yorick's revenant's timer expires (or it dies I guess), Ich'Zen's ultimate would proc and he'd gain control of the dead champion.

Oh, and any kills Ich'Zen gains with the dead champion's body go to him.
