Hey, just wanted to share my thoughts :) let me know what you think!

Gladicus – The God of the Arena

Lore: Once branded as the legendary demacian legions commander, Gladicus was taken into slavery by the underground noxian gladiators guild. Years passed and yet he showed only defience and resistance to his slavers, killing everyone who attempted to break him, surviving tortures and punishements he refused to bent to their command. However, his cruel captors took hold of his son, stolen from the safety of his home in Demacia. Gladicus, afraid for his sons life, finally gave up and submitted. After being forged into unstoppable warrior, a merciless fighter, he lost his sanity, caring about nothing. Gladicus won battle after battle in the Arena, besting all the opponents, even the most renowned. He made his name as the God of the Arena, since it appeared that he is an incarnation of Gods themselves, the way he fought with his dual curved broad blades sent shivers down every spectators spine. There was but one, who still craved for a chance to defeat Gladicus, for he was the pinacle of the Arena. Draven, The Glorious Executioner, knew that Gladicus would be too much to handle at his current state, so with the help of his brother, Draven took Gladicus son from slavers and slaughtered him in front of his chained rival. After doing so, he made his rival go mad with rage and then, smiling, he left, hoping that his rival would chase him, and blinded by his rage, will fall under his mighty axes. Since then, Gladicus freed himself from captivity, slaying everyone in his path and now roams the lands, showing mercy to no one who stands before him, in search of the man who killed his innocent son.

**Appearence and role:

Role: ** Gladicus is a meele AD bruiser (fighter, tank), fit for top and jungle.

**Looks: ** Gladicus weilds two curved broad swords, Has a battle-scarred muscular body (size bould be a little less like braum, but slightly more massive than Darius or Garen), His hair is dark and a bit longer than shoulder-lenghted, slightly covering his face, Eyes grey and has an angry look, has a scar across his face, positioned maybe like Rengars eyewear. As for dress up: head - no helmet, body top – whole right arm is heavy armored and quite fancy shoulder design symbolising a roaring lion, as he was a renowned gladiator, Its strapped to his body with two chains, on the other hand, only a heavy gauntlet up to his elbow, also weard a wide heavy leather belt with a steel circle shieldlike thingy protecting his belly, covering half of his six pack. Belt also has two sword sheaths in both sides, covered with heavy leather and decorated with steel parts. Body bottom – Heavy armos leggings and heavy armor boots, symbolising roaring lion on each knee. All heavy amor is colored something like Marauder skin set, with some golden ornaments.

Skill set:

Passive: Blood rush upgrades at Levels 1/7/14 Blood rush: Gladicus gains blood rush stacks whenever he deals or receives damage by basic attacks. Each stack grants 1/2/3 of armor, magic resistance and 0.5/1/1.5 attack damage. Stacks up to 10 times, decays if no damage is deal or received by basic attacks in 6s. Also stack from large monsters and siege minions attacks.

Reasoning: This encaurages player to build tanky, so he could initiate teamfights and stand ground for his teammates, at early levels,at the same time not taking too much punishement on his damage output. At first i thought about giving AD scale same as armor and MR, but then it would make Q too OP, so i suppose AD scale being ½ of armor and MR is reasonable. Also, it fits champions personality as a Gladiator, empowering him as the battle rages on.

Q: Cross cut Cost: HP 30/40/55/70/100 Levels 1/2/3/4/5, cooldowns 20 at all levels. Gladicus cross cuts his opponent with both of his swords, dealing 70/90/110/130/150 (+3% of his max HP and +40%of bonus AD) as physical damage. Cross cut has its cooldown reduced by 1.5s, every time Gladicus is attacked by a basic attack.

_Reasoning: Gladiators are the ultimate warriors however you put it, so they must be able to take damage and OFC deal some, as the Arena is not for childsplay. This kind of Q also supports tank builds, because of the max Hp scaling. AD scaling is not too high and counted from bonus AD, not the overall, so maybe Gladicus would be a pretty punishing early game, but in time – he still has to become tanky. Want to use Q more than once or twice in a teamfight? Well, go ahead and make sure you can take some damage from the opposing party. If youre tanky – in a team fight you can become quite a beast, if not – your Q will not be as powerful. _

W: Battle tempered Levels 1/2/3/4/5, cooldowns 25/23/21/19/17 Passive: While at 10 blood rush stacks Gladicus increases his attack speed by 10%/11%/13%/15%/18% and regenerates 10/20/35/50/70 (+6% of his bonus HP) every 5th strike.

Active: Gladicus consumes blood rush stacks to double their bonus for 5s. Cannot gain blood rush when Come at me! is on cooldown.

_Reasoning: While at 10 blood rush Gladicus has a chance to slightly refund HP he loses by using his abilities, so lane phase wont be as punishing. This also makes possible to use Q in jungle without fear to spam it or kill yourself. W is pretty much what makes jungle possible, and you can double your defence, at the cost of regeneration and bloodrush stacks. It‘s a skill that also makes Gladicus open to build interpretations. _

E: Bring it! Cost: 1st cost HP 40/60/80/100/120, 2nd use – no cost Levels 1/2/3/4/5, cooldowns 21/19/17/15/12 1st use: Gladicus throws one of his swords to a target location, dealing 40/50/65/85/110 to every unit in its path as physical damage and slowing units hit by 30% for 2.5s. If Gladicus manages to hit his slowed opponent, he deals bonus +10%/15%/20%/25%/30% of his AD as physical damage, if he hits an enemy champion, he taunts the enemy for 1/1.2/1.4/1.6/1.8s 2nd use: If Gladicus suceeds to taunt enemy champion, he can use this ability for 1s after taunt expires to gain shield equal to 50% of damage he took from the taunted enemy champion.

Reasoning: Bring it looks like an OP CC skill, but to be truthful, not every one will be capable to land a skillshot and catch up with slowed opponent. A skill fit for jungle and lane phase. 2nd use of this can make you a lane bully if you manage to use its full potential.

R: Godlike Gladiator Levels: 1/2/3, cooldowns 120/100/90 Cost: 4% of current HP Gladicus laundges himself at the tarket location, landing with a godlike force damaging everyone in it for 210/290/360 (+5 for every 2% HP he has missing) AoE physical damage and slowing by 45% for 1.5s. For the next 5s Gladicus goes berserk, instantly gaining 10 blood rush stacks, 20/25/30 of armor and MR and 30% attack speed. If Gladicus kill an enemy champion, his raging mode extends by 3s.

_Reasoning: R gives Gladicus an opportunity to be a very scary front line champion. 10 bloodrush stacks allows to combine R with W, attack speed bonus instantly makes Q more worth it, or you can simply keep the stacks and charge like a true tank. _

Hidden passive: Vengence Vengence: If Gladicus plays against Draven and kills him, his blood rush becomes Vengence, thus slightly increasing passive effects.

This is ALARMINGLY close to Xin Zhao's lore, minus the inclusion of a son. Demacian War Hero turned Undefeated Gladiator in the pits of a Noxian gladiator ring? Yep.

I'm also not sure I like that Draven killed his son because he was afraid he wouldn't be able to best Gladicus: Draven is pretty much uncontested, so making someone he's afraid to fight him otherwise weakens that aspect of his character considerably. It would be MORE in keeping with Draven's character to execute the son just to prove that he can, to show Gladicus's powerlessness, and to break his spirit. Not out of a feeling that Gladicus is too strong for Draven to handle, but just out of the sadistic pleasure of watching the man break. I think that sort of change strengthens both Gladicus (by making him appear more human, rather than just an unbeatable entity) AND Draven (by playing up his amorality and keeping his Arena skill and fearlessness intact).
