Varus AP in Top Lane - Troll Build or Worth?

It is a niche pick. It mostly works because people don't know how to deal with it. It takes a lot of practice on said champ being built a certain way for them to consistently do well.

I works great against champion with low mobility. My build is usually like this: I am melting down tanks like nothing, only problem is assassins with strong gap closers. With this build i melted 3K of tank Garen's health while he was rooted by my R.

I usually play mid or top with varus AP and can win against most champs (on mid I need exhaust and practically oneshot Zed if he casts the ulti). Against tanks it's a total destroyer (tried against Fiora) and in lategame can also chunk 3 targets altogether. Problems are usually against mage disablers ( ). Build should be in my opinion - last item on your choice, suggested Zhonyas against AD assassins. I think Nashor and Runaan are necessary before Guinsoo because he needs attack speed to stack it.
