Kat Pole dance animation

First, I'd like to say that I'm a female gamer and doctor.

Second, I realize that it has been a while since the change of animation for Kat, however i just wanted to express how deeply it still upsets me that it was taken down.

As female gamer and I am really upset that riot changed the animation. Some girls dance on poles. Its a legal profession which they chose and get paid for and now it is a popular exercise program as well. I don't think that the animation was offensive. As it was depicting a legal and normal activity. I feel that if I want to buy the skin and express my femininity by dancing on a pole i should be able to do so.

I realize that some people may not be so fond of the animation, and so all i propose (and beg for) is a simple check box accompanying the skin allowing you to select whether or not you'd like to dance on a pole.

TBH, I think that this idea of League's depicition of women being nothing but bimbos with breasts the size of their head (not saying it's not represented at all... Ahri Janna MissFortune Nidalee Sona ), has never held up weight since the very beginning ( Anivia Annie ), but now, it's safe to say that that idea is complete horseshit. Out of the last 5 female champions that have been released we have; a scary void creature who is female in name alone (i.e. no sexual characteristics whatsoever) RekSai , a lich who's only sexy if you enjoy claws and necrophilia Kalista , a flat chested albino who's batshit crazy, and the only thing remotely sexualizing her is her combat bikini Jinx , an ice witch who's human characteristics are marred by being mostly ice Lissandra , and an extremely conservatively dressed, yet beautiful girl who has a fondness for birds and knock-knock jokes Quinn . But yes, please explain to me how we're oppressing an objectifying women. I'm just glad there's women like OP who can see past the feminazi bullshit.

To be fair about and Quinn , Lissandra seems to have some fair sized balloons there. And Quinn's boobs are also very nice. Too bad I'm distracted by their beautiful faces to never look lower.

Just because they have large breasts, doesn't mean they're sexualized. When people say Quinn and Lissandra, the first thing that pops into my head isn't their breasts, it's how damn annoying they are to face top lane. You can't say all women who have breasts larger than an A cup are sexualized, because then show me how Kayle Caitlyn Fiora Leblanc Irelia Karma Leona Poppy Orianna Lux Riven (Ignoring Battlebunny, that's a skin and doesn't fully count.) Shyvana Sejuani Vayne Tristana are sexualized. Each of these champions has breasts, some of them are fairly large, but very few of them are actually sexualized. Saying they "have some fair sized balloons there." isn't being fair at all.

Wellllll.... I understand the point you're trying to make, but I'd have to say at the very least Leblanc and Vi are sexualized (LeBlanc is wearing practically nothing, and Vi has a bubble butt on her basic skin.) However I agree with you, big boobs doesn't necessarily mean sexualization.

Idk about LeBlanc, maybe you could say she's sort of like Cass who can also decieve people with good looks and being sensual bur for Vi, the majority of female athletes end up having bubble butts and Vi is on the more athletic spectrum of female champs. But you can always nitpick shit like that. Unlike with champs like Ahri or MF, the first, second and third things you think off when you see Vi isn't "Ooh, bubble butt". Rather, it's

"**** those punches hurt"
"How the hell does she carry those damn gloves with her stick-like arms"
"Her hair looks pretty cool"

I would agree and disagree. Yes having large breasts does not mean sexualized. However the way that riot creates its champions is that most female champs are sexualized. To a extent this makes sense because the people who would actually be fighting in league would be the top of their class and this is reflected by male and female champs. However that doesn't mean every champ has to be sexualized and I personally would enjoy more monster champs for one and more quirky champs like Gragas and hiemer. As far as I am concerned you do not have to be athletic and a Olympic athlete to be in the league and we should have that reflected with more quirky and monsters. Rek'sai is a great addition and love her and would love to see more like her.

Also a complaint that I think is fair is that when you look at the art of most of the female champs in league you will see that most you will know they have breasts because of the way the art is done. This bothers me because it makes the art samey and kind of makes me feel like it is lazy. Here is what I mean. In Diana splash [(http://i.ytimg.com/vi/-vVitMqWQDc/maxresdefault.jpg)] you will notice that the armor she wears doesn't push boobs into your face but everything down to the high heels screams that she is a woman. A very sexy woman. Now compare that to Leona or Kayle who are both armored females but instead of armor that accents their character or their abilities we get armor that goes out of its way to show you just how big their boobs are. Now their is a place for this type of stuff but that is primarily what Riot has put forward up to date and like I said before that makes it seem samey in terms of splashes. I think they should find more ways to accent the character not the boobs in both art and animation another example I think is good is aether wing kayle. [(http://img1.leaguecraft.com/lol-splash-art/asset/wallpaper_760px_7652.jpg)] again you can tell she is a sexy woman but it isn't necessarily because of boobs like in the other splash art. The complaint of over sexualizing females can get a bit stale and old but Riot time and time again can get stuck in their ways on how they think art should be done which isn't necessarily the best. Look at all the action poses that came out recently. Would it benefit, say heimer, to have a action pose? Or would it do him more justice to have say a pose that shows off how smart he is? Same with animation? Does the recall match the character or in this case, does the recall match the theme of the skin? In the case of snow down kat I think the recall totally does match the theme of the skin and should have been left.

I know this is a bit ranty but hopefully it helps you understand why some people have a problem with stuff like this.

I think a big reason they removed it was because of how little it fit her character. Katarina is a bloodthirsty predator, so the idea of her pole dancing seems... off. If it had been a character like Ahri, whose character revolves around seduction, it would be FAR more fitting.

She's also a Noxian, and Noxus' idea is that women should be able to make up for their lack of being meatheads that sound like they swallowed brushes by being deceptive. Cassiopeia, Kat's sister, was a seductress. Kat is shown in tight leather armor, and despite being much more cold-blooded than your average seductress, if a New Dawn showed us anything, Kat still can show a little bit of sensuality.

Also, the reason why they had it removed was because of the feminazi QQs, despite the fact that Nidalee lives to pole dance to this day.

on a serious note, i think this also has to do with graves cigar getting removed because it promoted tobacco usage. as you can see at the very beginning of rek'sai trailer. i think the pole dancing was removed because riot found it to suggestive for the T esbr rating.

yeah, but honestly who cares, let people have their own little opinons about a person they never met or will meet, also nidalee was just probably overlooked, i think riot doesn't care so long as their not being threatened by someone or something.

Playboy bunny Riven and Nidalee's pole dancing are also dumb as hell, hth.

The problem with Kat's animation is that that's not Kat. Their attempts at making her super sexualized are incredibly forced and unfitting for what her actual character is supposed to be. If that animation had been given to MF or Ahri or similar champions, people would've rolled their eyes because it's a lazy thing to do, but there would have been fewer complaints because it is at least consistent with their characters.

But then Riven wearing a Bunny Girl suit is even worse because atleast being sensual is a consistant theme throughout Noxus' women. Riven believes in honorable strength and she is fairly serious while also being ~~super edgy~~ the more strong-willed girl from Noxus.

Katarina, while not to the extent of LB or Cass, is still sensual.

They didn't change katarina's pole dance because of "lol censorship". Nidalee's is still untouched. They changed her pole dance because they felt like it didn't fit her character. And the recall they replaced it with definitely fits.
