Egixius, the Hextech Spellsword
Hello! This is actually the first time I've done something like this, but I feel as though I can give a good input with ideas as to a new champion or even new concepts for abilities. I enjoy playing champions with a high skill ceiling, and figured a champion at least close to this design would be very fun to play. This champion would also be a way to disrupt other "oppresive" champions while providing mobility similar to

. I'm very interested in what other people think about my ideas and I would love to see if what I have in mind would be balanced for the game.

Champion Synopsis: Egixius is a melee swordsman that is a primary fighter. Both Egixius' Q/W abilities will change his fighting stance, which will cause for his E ability to switch between two different abilities to some extent. His stance change will change his passive between an offensive and defensive kit, as well as applying an ability on the specific stance recast. This means that Egixius will be limited at casting two abilities per stance before level six. His ultimate is called Hextech Amalgamation, which temporarily allows for Egixius to fully wield all of his abilities for 6/10/14 seconds while giving him an attack speed and damage bonus. During his Hextech Amalgamation, Egixius' E ability is combined from each stance and holds a separate cooldown from either singular ability.
-
Passive - Devil's Dance (Q)/ Will of Willows (W): Devil's Dance allows For Egixuis to ignore unit collision and gain a bonus amount of 3/6/10/15 movement speed for 2 seconds after using an ability. The bonus movement speed scales a flat amount from levels 1/6/11/16 and can stack up to five times onto itself. Will of Willows gives Egixius 5% damage reduction after his health percentage drops lower than his mana percentage. The damage reduction increases up to 3 times for each instance of damage he takes over 3 seconds (up to 15%) before Will of Willows will fail and Egixius recieves damage as normal. (Since these passives are changing between his stances, it's important that they remain active in a manner that Egixius can still have the movement speed/damage reduction if he's in a different stance until the time limits for each passive runs out. Also, Will of Willows can become reset after 4 seconds once his mana percentage evens out or becomes less than his health percentage.)
-
Q - Devil's Dance Stance Change/ Electrostatic Slash: Egixius Swings his Hextech blade out in a fast motion, dealing (100% AD) to all enemy units in a wide cone. All enemies hit are dealt 45/70/100/120/160 + (.15 AP) additional magic damage. This attack resets the Auto attack timer and applies on hit effects. 4 second cooldown and costs 65 mana at all ranks. (Devil's Dance Stance Change cooldown can only be activated in Will of Willows Stance, and has a 5 second cooldown.)
-
W - Will of Willows Stance Change/ Searing Wounds toggle: Toggle active consumes 5/6/8/12/14 mana on auto attacks, Egixius' Auto attacks will deal an extra 16/20/28/36/44 extra physical damage on hit while toggled and also gains 3%/5%/7%/10%/15% lifesteal. Searing Wounds will automatically toggle off if Devil's Dance Stance Change is activated. (Will of Willows Stance change can only be activated in Devils Dance Stance change, and has a 5 second cooldown.)
-
E - Freeze Friction/ Whiplash/ Freezing Whiplash: Freeze friction is a fast, short distance dash that holds up to 3 charges. Each Charge consumes 25 mana and takes 8 seconds to store. Freeze Friction's cooldown is 2 seconds. Whiplash is a singular, 10 second cooldown dash which causes Egixius to twirl through the air, knocking away any enemy units hit a short distance. Egixius gains a shield equal to 3% of his maximum health for 3 seconds for each enemy champion hit with whiplash. Whiplash deals 40/60/100/135/170 + (.25 AD) magic damage to all enemies hit and costs 60/70/85/95/110 mana. While Hextech Amalgamation is active, his E ability becomes Freezing Whiplash, which is Whiplash's dash, combined with Freeze Friction's charge deposit and cooldown with a total of 4 charges. Freezing Whiplash holds it's own charges separate from Freeze Friction, but shares the mana cost of Whiplash. All Egixius' dashes can be used to move through terrain and are fixed distances. The shield from Whiplash still applies in Freezing Whiplash, but each instance of the shield will decay separately and will not reset the time frame of each stack granted unlike how Devil's Dance movement speed passive works.
-
R - Hextech Amalgamation: A surge of energy runs through Egixius for 6/10/14 seconds, granting 50% Attack speed and Critical Strike chance. Additionally, Egixius' stances become fused together for the duration and his E becomes Freezing Whiplash. Dealing critical strikes to enemies double the movement speed granted by Devil's Dance and grants another stack as well as refreshing the stack timer. If Will of Willows becomes active while Egixius has 30% health or less, all of his healing recieved is increased by 3% as long as Hextech Amalgamation is active.
I really do appreciate any input anyone wishes to share. I'd like for there to be a champion in League of Legends that the community would really love to have in the game, and I feel as though creating character with a lack of rest may need some looking at. If you have any ideas about potential lore as well, I'd love to read it as well. There's also a lack of samurai like champions in league, and despite this champion not necessarily being one himself, I think the kit might work well for fighting "you know who." I didn't put ranges and per level stats so you guys out there could point out the best way to balance him as he is, so I hope you've enjoyed!
. I really like Diana and feel as though there should be another champion similar to her in build path.
