Medieval Twitch Being Re-Obtainable...

  • So with the new honor system if I read correctly, if players hit level 5 honor they will receive rewards that can unlock them Medieval twitch and grey Warwick. With this being said, I being a twitch player, love the medieval skin and was really excited to have earned this skin when it was available. League of Legends got rid of the refer-a-friend system thus making these skins unobtainable forever (at least that's what I thought) making my favorite skin rare. with the new honor system implemented the skin will become less special to me because of its attainability now. I would like to see if this can get enough attention do to something special with these skins that show that we got them from the old refer-a-friend, and not through honor, like what they did when they made championship riven purchasable for the second time by giving the original holders of the skin a crown and original skin name. maybe give them a special boarder or give the new skins a different name like "Medieval Twitch 2017". Please let me know your guys' thoughts. Thanks for your time and consideration. - JHRZy

So you want everyone to know you got a skin through smurf abuse and/or botting?

I don't see a problem with this. Given that the skin was NOT specifically called out as an unobtainable skin though (Championship Riven was mentioned as being limited time, if I recall correctly), I think something like the name would be a better change.

That said, I can see an argument for not doing this though, as a lot of the time the refer-a-friend program ended up simply being bot account or similar non-meaningful players. Hence why I'd opt for the name change if anything -- it keeps the original intact, without making it TOO special.

The skin was acquired by most by abusing a flawed system. There's no reason for this skin to be thought of as "Special" when in the end nothing special was done to acquire it. 90% of people who have the skin got it illegitimately, sure it sucks if you did get it legitimately and you get lumped into the crowd.

But you got the skin, you don't deserve anything else for doing what you were supposed to. It's like how when people ask for a reward for being nice.

But the reality is, you have the skin, people who got it before the system shut down got a legacy border, and going on further about it is just immature. Next people will start whining about Legacy skins coming back and them not feeling "as special".

The reality is that you're not the only one who may want the skin, and wanting to be a special snowflake about having it before others is nothing to be proud of.

Isn't there a legacy border already in place for the skin?

I agree with you 100% actually, their are multiple skins that will nvr be available again lets leave it that way. I mean their not gonna bring back alistar and ryze skins that are considered the rarest skins out their today because they were only available via pre order and store purchase only when the game first came out. twitch and warwick are both extremely rare skins as well and should receive the same treatment. If they insist on doing something like this they should be available at a lower rate and only be till preseason that would atleast reduce the amount of people that can get it thus leaving it on the rare side or they coulda pulled a riven and just changed the skin for rerelease. Either way I get where your coming from and I didn't even earn these skins back then.
