We all love minions

Hey peeps hope you are all having a good time on the rift ! As for me I was lying in bed thinking about how awesome minions are and how brave those little things are running into battle with no fear and getting sadly slaughtered by our champions. But wait ! What if we made a champion out of a minion ! I have done a little brainstorming on my own to think about that idea and ite possibly come out with some sort of concept. Let's start with a name ......... I've always sucked with names to be honest and I know riot are pretty good with those and always find good ones for all our champs ! As for the lore, we all know how Noxus is an evil place and what if to be able to win the war against Demacia they experimented on minions to create the ultimate minion weapon ! - But they created it to clever and when he saw the other minions being experimented on and being tortured he escaped saving as many minions as he could. I think it's pretty cute as a story behind it and it already gives an idea on the possible skills :p

First comes first the passive. I was thinking about a passive affecting the minions around him in a certain range boosting their movement speed damage and defence kind of like a mini Nash, the buff would start small and increase as the champion levels

For the Q ! Well I'm not telling you yet because I decided I wanted the W to come first :p

For the W. As we saw in the little lore he escaped with some minions, minions that are now loyal to him so it would be nice if he could have those minions to be controlled and have each of them small differences ( with bandages on them and all huh ? Cause they are poor damaged minions :3 ). So let's say he starts with 2 minions, 3 lvl 6, 4 lvl 11 and 5 lvl 6 ! #ultpassive add a minion to his clan when you lvl the ultimate up ! Then when it comes to the minions their are different kind of minions, Mage minions soldier minions canon minions ( no super minions yet that comes later ) I thought we could have a system in the shop where you choose your minions are buy them for free (possible upgrade system like for gangplank's ult ? Not to sure but you guys are the pros ) so you would have your first 2 minions with stats that would look like your own AKA if you go tank they would be more tanks ( therefore maybe soldier minions could be better ) and if you go ap well Mage minions would have more ap as for the canons one maybe ad. I feel like I'm losing my brain as we go along with this and I hope I'm not being to confusing ! But this would be his core spell ! Oh one last thing you can move them around like shaco's clone or tibbers keeping in mind they are stronger close to you :) #miniscouts

Let's go back to the Q. I see that spell as a minion saving / annoying spell. Heal your own minions and create some sort of shielding process to make last hitting harder for the enemies and your own minions healthier. For how the spell could work we could possibly crest an aoe zone where to shield the minions and just automatically heal your own minions when close to you. That's just my personal view of it it might work better some other way. Oh ! I almost forgot when one of you minion dies, I'm not to sure to what to do with the corpse it could either respawn in the fountain and wait for you there or respawn and walk back to you or just be recreated after a period of time dead. ( I personally prefer the respawn thing but it might be a little impractical unless it walks back to you but then it could give vision in the jungle or get killed before it reaches you again so if anybody has a nice idea if be happy to hear it. And also giving our champ a little buff when one of his minions dies as a passiv on that spell could be nice a kind of : " Nooooo ! I shall avenge you ! " moment.

As for the E. Well a champion that does not have his own damage or crowd control is not that good so what does everybody hate ? Yup that's right ! The minion block ! ... Just kidding but almost :) let's say if the champion you hit is his by 2 Mage minions he is slowed the slow% could depend on the number of those minions hitting ( 10% for one 15 for 2 25% max if you have 5 Mage minions ) and if you have soldier minions how about 0.25 sec root for every one hiting you so even with 5 minions on you if they hit simultaneously it would be 1.25 sec not to long stays annoying as well of course it would not work on every hit your minion lands and like that you could have a nice combination of slow and root , more like a binding ( does not stop you from doing auto hits but stops dashes )

The ultimate R! That would be the summon of the super minion I was talking about earlier to save your little minions and yourself he would stun on his first auto for let's say 0.5 sec ( on every new target ) and the next stun would be x seconds later. It's default movements would be the same as your minions [AKA control them individually with alt when selected and if not selected they move where you move and attack who you attack].

As for this champion itself to keep his aoe minion buff optimal he would need to be somewhere between long mellee range and short long ranged so erm ... How about giving him a stick or sceptre that he can hit with to give him extra range ? XD Your minions would also be able to receive speed buffs suck as righteous glory ( if my memory is correct ) or Sivir's ult ( that would also make digit more popular ... Probably ).

So yup, that's my main idea, share it with your friends and see what you think about it and come back here to talk about it if you know how to draw feel free to try and draw the champion and his little crippled minion friends and well yeah let's see if we can make a thing of this :) I hope you like the concept !

Ok ! So ive been sharing this here and there mainly on Facebook and the main reaction was that people loved the idea but that the champion was missing something to make him viable in the late game because minions are minions and they are usually easy to kill so yeah that is a rather big issue stopping the champion from working correctly.

One of the ideas we had was to, well lets say our champion was modified by the Noxians with elder drake blood. he could have a bond with his body guard minions and he would be able to do more damage the more of his minions were dead. That could work as the drake buffs would work like 1 dead minion gives you extra move speed to you and your minions ( as a burst ), 2 dead minions a regen bonus like the water drake, 3 dead extra ap and ad like the fire drake and 4 would be extra true damage on auto hits. So his minion friends could have small drake proprieties.

An other idea was to change the way he works so that he works with a rage system instead of mana ( cause drakes dont need no mana :p ) were with each creep dying next to him he get 2% of his rage filled and 25 % when one of his own minion friend dies. When he reaches 100%, the champion would become more dragon minion like and do ranged autos and keep some of the drake bonuses. Some kind of double personality where he needs to avenge his minion friends and becomes nice and minion like when his rage is normal again.

The other option was just to make the minions more tanky and play around more with there stats and swap his W to his passive and give him a new spell on his w allowing him to actually be able to fight a little on his own but im kind of out of ideas as what that extra spell could be. If anyone has ideas let me know, i'd be very happy to talk about it with you all.
