Lain, Holder of the Eye.

A champ idea I've had for a while. His gimmick? All his abilities have infinite stacking. Wouldn't call him op, since I tried really hard to keep him balanced. The name's spelled like 'line' by the way.

Look: A dude with a sword. The sword is Eye, I know, very creative name. It has a hilt that's longer than normal, followed by a circular thin loop, followed by the sharp bit of the sword. There's an eye-like ord floating in the loop. This is the main gimmick he has.

The Eye has a Split Personality Disorder, by the way.

Abilities:

When Lain starts the game, he can choose any of his four abilities to start off with. His auto attacks are modified accordingly. When switching the ability currently turned on, there is a 5 second cooldown under which he can't change abilities, and a 12 second cooldown where he can't go back to the one he switched off.

Passive: The Hateful Eye. Lain's second bar is called Hate. Whenever he uses an ability, it fills up according to how long he had the previous one active. The Hateful Eye is jealous, and hates its bretheren. It wants all the attention for itself, and want to be out for as long as possible, even if such a thing was impossible. The longer a previous Eye was out, the more the bar fills up upon switching. The amount the bar fills up is 100 + (2xN, where N=The number of seconds it was used). When the Bar reaches 1000, the sword forcibly switches to the Hateful Eye. While the Hateful Eye is up, Lain cannot heal nor regen, cannot be shielded, and loses all buffs and cannot gain any. His basic attacks become a tether of multiple streams of black lighting at a single target, with a range of 500 for the attack and the maximum tether range being 1000. The target for as long as the tether lasts is consistently damaged and like Lain cannot be healed, shielded, buffed, and cannot regen.

While Hateful Eye is on, his sword glows brightly a black-white glow. It lasts for 10 seconds.

Q: The Violent Eye. The sword glows bright red.

Passive: His auto attacks have a range increase from 125 (Lowest AA range, most melee champs have this range) to 200 (25 units longer than the longest basic attack in the game). The damage dealt is 90% of his AD. Every time Lain attacks something, he gains a stack of Violence, which stacks permanently. His auto attacks are straight stabs.

Active: When activated, you can either activate it again to prepare a Violent Strike that unloads all your stacks, or right click yourself to give yourself the Violent status effect.

Violent Strike: Your next AA is a 400 unit short dash and deal true damage equal to your stacks. You lose all your stacks.

So if you want, this can be an engage were you spend time farming then use it to engage, or an execute where you don't use it and stack it up to really high levels and insta-kill some low health target.

Violent: For every 1 stack, you gain 5% critical strike on your next attack. Overflow effects the next attacks.

So if you have 50 stacks and you use Violent, your next attack has a 20x5=100% crit chance, your second attack has a 20x5=100% crit chance, and your third has a 10x5=50% crit chance. This is if you don't have any crit chance. If you had say 40% crit chance form your items, then 20 stacks would give you 40+(12x50)=100% crit chance on your first attack and your second would have 40+(8x5)=80% crit chance.

W: The Vicious Eye The sword glows bright green.

Passive: His AA become ranges, with a range of 450 (Folks like Thresh Morgana Vladimir Karthus ). He points his sword forwards and shoots small green projectiles, similar to a caster minion. Each singular attack does 10 damage, with his attack speed boosted to equalize it. So if his normal DPS is 70, his attack speed will be 7 attacks per second, for a DPS of 70 as well. No damage change, but much faster attacks. His AAs will not deal on-hit-effect nor will they proc items.

Every attack on an enemy, he gains a stack of Viciousness. If he activates it again he can spend the stacks by either clicking himself or on an ally and healing them for an amount equal to the stacks. Overflow is wasted, so if you have a thousand stacks and use it while missing 100 health, you will waste 900 stacks.

In easier numbers, this means that he has a stackable life-steal equal to 10% of his DPS.

The idea is that the Vicious Eye tear apart the life force of what it attacks, keeping some for itself that can be used to heal.

E: The Stubborn Eye The sword glows bright blue. Okay now, this is the bit that started out this champ idea. Stacking armour and magic resist.

His AAs are now much slower. His attack animation is also slower. He raises his sword up in the air and slams it down, doing area damage equal to 250% of his AD. His AAs are effectively skill shots, with the AOE small (Think Malphite's W) and his attack animation being 1 second long, so his AAs are dodgeable. He is also immobilized during his AA animation, and cannot cancel it. Every minion killed gives him 2 stacks of Stubbornness. While his E is active, he will gain armour or magic resist equal to the number of stacks he has, so 100 stacks would give him 100 armour or magic resistance.

How the type of resistance is decided is a bit tricky. When he suffers magic damage, his stacks will give him magic resist, but only after the damage from that attack is dealt. So if he has armor stacks and a magic attack is dealt to him, the damage will be done and only after that the switch will happen. The stacks are not lost, they infinitely stack.

Balancing such an idea: The only way to gain those stacks is to farm with the E basic attacks. While his E is active, he is easy to harass and bully. You also lose the chance to build up other stacks. Since it's a skill shot, it can even miss the minions it was originally targeting. In team fights, it can make him an amazing peeler, but since the stack only applies to one type of resistance at a time, alternating magic and physical damage on him can ignore all those stacks. The extra is also only active while the E is active, you can't use your other types of attacks and are stuck with the pretty bad AAs the E gives you.

R: The Impatient Eye. The sword glows bright yellow.

Your AAs are faster and have a combo. The first two AAs on the same target are side slashes (Right slash and left slash respectively) and deal 50% damage. The third AA is a rising slash and deals 110% damage. Your AA range is 100, 25 units shorter than the shortest melee attack range. Every attack gives you a stack of Impatience.

When you activate your R again, you can either click on yourself giving yourself 3 extra movement speed for each stack. The movement speed lasts for one second. The cap is 500 with the overflow going to the next second, like the Q's crit chance.

If you click an enemy, you can slow them by 3 for each stack for a second. A speed of 0 is basically a root. It flows over to the next second.

Lore: I don't know, a knock-off Ezreal lore? An explorer who found a weapon? Don't really care. While I love lore, making lore is pretty hard to do.

That's about it. I'm still new on the scene, so expect other champion ideas. I already have a bunch thought up.

Trivia:

Death animation: Lain falls to his knees, dropping his sword. The Eye starts shining in all colours before exploding, releasing wisps coloured accordingly that zap and kill him before flying away.

Joke: Bunch of tasteless eye puns would be the easy thing to do.

Taunt: Lain raises his sword to infront of his face, with the Eye directly in front of his eye. He says "I see you".

Dance: 1- Lain starts poking the eye he has, irritating it, before it zaps his finger. 2- He stabs the sword into the ground, steps back, and organizes his fingers into a triangle before orienting it to have the Eye seen through the middle of the triangle from his POV. He also whistles the X-Files theme (An Illuminati joke for the three of you who didn't get it)

Is from Ionia, so he hates Noxus. Racist against the Vastaya as well. He has such quotes when facing an enemy Vastaya and with a Vastaya on his team. Obviously, his rivals are Xayah and Rakan , since they fight for Vastaya rights and freeing magic. Not Nazi levels, more like lower KKK levels of racism. He won't go out of his way to hurt the Vastaya, but wants them gone.
