Estimated Game Duration

It would be very useful if there was a graph shown, that gave you a rough idea of how long a game would take, for the game mode you're queued in. The game requires quite a time commitment, since even an ARAM match takes at least 15 minutes. Furthermore, the game has penalties for leaving a match early, regardless of reason. Without accurate information on how long the match will last, you need to gamble based on your recollections and best guess, and hope you've estimated correctly, if you can safely play a match. Please add some information on how long matches are expected to take, when you're queueing up. A simple bell-curve would be easy to understand, like this, and I think it would be a valuable addition to the game.

Although it would be nice to have this, I think the best they could do is an "Average game time at this level", and display the average game time at your (ranked) MMR. The LoL Client used to have an indicator stating how long the estimated game length was per game mode, but it was removed along with the Dominion game mode. A general rule of thumb is, dont play if you only have an hour between start of match and the time you have to leave. Some games go on longer than expected.

Even that one-hour rule-of-thumb is not displayed anywhere in the game. I'd rather have imperfect estimates, than none whatsoever. Right now, the game is not friendly to anyone who has a job, dog, or any other responsibilities. If they want to increase their user-base, they should add info like this, that makes the game easier to play, for non-hardcore people.

I don't necessarily think the lack of estimated game time is going to cause problems, but it would be something fun and rather useful in the STATS page in the client. Players could see their own average game time and use that to determine if they have time to play a match.

I did manage to find a site that may be helpful in the meantime. :)

Personal stats would be good, although new players wouldn't have any data.
