Lore

This was written by Sir Shadow Isles and is by far amazing and I can't thank him enough. I hope you enjoy this story as much as i did.

As the daughter of a Noxian trade fleet commander, Talula was born with a natural love for the open sea. When she turned five years old, she knew more about the water than most sailors four times her age. On that day, her father gave her a priceless heirloom; a water crystal shaped like a teardrop. She treasured the gift her father gave her. However, on the night of her birthday, their parent’s fleet encountered a terrible and unnatural storm. The turbulent waters tore the ships apart without mercy. An Ionian fishing boat happened upon the wreckage a few hours later. The elderly couple searched for hours without luck, but before they departed, a blue glow caught their eye. Floating unconscious on a plank of wood was the five year old Talula, her crystal glowing brightly. The couple hurriedly brought the girl on board and returned to Ionia. When Talula awoke, she seemed to have no memory of her parents or the accident that took them. The only memory she had was of a strange blue glow. The elderly couple decided that, instead of turning her over to an orphanage, they would take the girl in and raise her themselves.

Talula grew up with the elderly couple, raised in the traditional Ionian ways. At an early age, she expressed an interest in martial arts and began developing her own style. Every day, she grew stronger and stronger. One day, as she was out training, she felt the ground tremble. Frightened, she returned to her home to find it completely destroyed. Talula called out for her adoptive parents, searching desperately for signs of life. She found the elderly woman, wounded but alive. She told Talula of giant machines came out of nowhere and killed her husband. Furious, Talula ran off in search of the things responsible. She encountered a patrol of Noxian soldiers in her search. The soldiers attacked her on sight. Now in a fight for her life, Talula took down as many as she could before she was finally overwhelmed. Beaten and bloodied, Talula looked up to find a white haired woman, wielding a massive blade, standing above her. Instead of dealing a killing blow, the woman commended Talula on her strength and decided to spare her life on the promise that she will get stronger. Feeling her strength rapidly leaving her, Talula tried to drag herself to safety. She stumbled upon a cave with a river running through it. At that moment, her crystal began to glow and she felt compelled to enter the cave. Staggering to her feet, she forced herself to explore the cave and gasped at what she discovered. Laying at the bottom of a pool ware several crystals made of the same material as the one she possessed. The crystals glowed, seeming to call to her. As Talula gathered the crystals, she felt as if a dam had burst within her as strength poured into her body. She noticed as she moved, the water moved with her. Stunned with her new abilities, Talula returned only to find her adoptive mother’s life fading from her injuries. In her last moments, she told Talula her true past. Her mind reeling, Talula wandered the coastline for months, mastering her newfound power. Only when it was under her complete control did she head for the League of Legends to lend her strength in the fight for her beloved Ionia.

“Noxus may run through my veins, yet Ionia is my heart and soul.” -Talula

I like a lot of it but I question your damage ratios. Why would you build a mage who low damage output? Understanding CC is something this character is meant to bring. Typically your mage class characters bring a higher damage role unless you expect this to be played as a support lane character?

Well I went really conservative on damage and ratios in this iteration and the damage I want her to have comes from casting multiple spells over time not just insta-burst damage. my goal is for her to scale really well with AP and CDR and low Base stats so she doesn't get stuck to a support role because of her base damage.

  • Looking at it now because of the damage reduction on her Q I could probably bump the base damage or the ratios up. I have to worry about the amount of total AOE damage she does with it. I may have to reduce damage done to minions too.

  • On the E maybe give her more reward for using it on a champion.

  • One of the biggest things I used to reason the damage on her W was that she had a lot of CC.

I see her as a weak ealry game having to really balance the use of her mana then mid to late becoming very good in team fights. she is meant to be a high skill high reward campion.
