Stau, The Loyal (Fan made Champion concept [WIP])
STAU, THE EMPEROR'S SENTINEL (this was a more fitting title)
Please note that this is a made up champion design, and i created this just after the competition closed. This made me quiet sad, but anyway, here is my first concept. It may be bad, who knows. PLEASE COMMENT AND GIVE FEEDBACK, IT HELPS SO MUCH.
LORE (Shortened) Lost, but not forgotten, Stau was a loyal warrior that served under the regime of Azir as his closely reliant guardian. Although the two ascended beings of the time Nasus and Renekton were powerful enough to level entire armies, Stau was regarded as a human who was capable enough to stand his own against the powerful giants. However, after the tragic betrayal of Xerath, the remains of Azir were buried deep within Shurima's heartland. Due to Stau being loyal to Azir, and wanting to protect him where ever he may go, Stau purposefully put himself into a deep slumber aside Azir's remains. Waiting the return for the great emperor to rise once more.
APPEARANCE Note: There is no picture as of now, and may not be one, so this will suffice.
Stau is a tall, tanned skin man with multiple scars on his body due to conflict and warfare. Stau has a black mask, similar to that of a jackal over his face, with gold trimming. The clothing of Stau are a long black drape like cloth over his shoulders, with a long white tunic, outlined with gold, that looks like, and acts like, a coat, which hangs on his body. He wears brown shorts, and does not wear any shoes, or footwear, as he finds it as an "impairment." Stau's armouring is minimal, with jewelry of gold and rubies adorning his arms. However, he does possess a large shoulder guard that looks like a rectangular plate.
WEAPONRY The weaponry of Stau is a simple long spear, and a round shield. However, the detail on them will be described in this section.
Spear
Known as "The Radiant Spear," Stau's spear is his primary weapon, with it being wielded in his left hand. The spear is mainly black, with glowing golden trimming over the edges, and on the handle. The spear has a small ornament on its hilt, with the head of the spear being a large flat plate, with many curves following into the blade itself. The blade of the spear glows with radiant energy. However, the spear can be used to stabbing, it is flatterned so it can be used to slice. The spear does not have a spike such as
Pantheons spear.
Shield The shield was a tool that was past down by his father as a gift to him. The shield is a round shield, around as big as that of a vikings shield. The shield is fully metal, with a black colour, and gold trimming on its edges. The shield also possesses intricate circular patterns that adorn the shield to make it stand out.
ABILITIES Passive - Sucker Hit After three successful auto attacks on an enemy champion, Stau's next auto attack will use his shield as a counter hit, breaking the armour of the target champion, halving it. This can only occur to the same champion every 12 seconds. Deals the same amount of damage as his current AD.
Q - Charge Onwards! On key press, Stau will gain extra movement speed, and will also gain a shield that covers the front side of his character model, reducing incoming damage from the direction Stau is charging at. Once Stau hits an enemy champion (AA) he will stab them and lift them into the air for a very short period of time, before flicking them aside to either the left or the right of his current position, dealing AD. If Stau fails to hit anyone within a certain time period, his speed boost will deplete, and he will be slowed for a short amount of time. Uses mana.
W - Rhythm of War When the key W is pressed, Stau will go into a defensive position, creating a circle of yellow light around him in a short distance. Stau then hits his shield, granting him a small shield of around 100 - 200 health, and pulling every enemy champion within the yellow circle towards him a short distance (not full like diana's E). This will happen every single time Stau hits his shield. Stau will hit his shield 3 - 4 times. However, the shield generated will not stack up (I.E. it will not give him 100 hp, then can stack to have a 200 hp shield), and the pull in effect will not slow down enemy champions. Stau can still auto attack during this abilities active. Uses mana
E - Catch them out (skill shot) - When key is pressed, Stau will raise his spear, and point it at a small area at the ground where ever the mouse has clicked. The ground will then become ruined for 3 seconds, dealing AP damage to enemy champions who step on it, and slowing them down for 2 seconds. The AP is not constant, and will be a one time effect. The skill shot will be a perpendicular rectangle, that similar to Jayce's Acceleration gate, just thicker. The ability has a set up time of around 1 second. Uses mana
R - Push Forward (skill shot) - When key is pressed, a box skill short of a long rectangle will appear. When clicked onto somewhere on the map, it will lock Stau into a special path, making his movement speed raise, until he hits the rectangle skill shot where it was placed (where ever on the map. This is similar to Kled's ult, as it locks him into a path). Stau will raise his shield outwards, creating a yellow barrier when he hits the rectangular skill shot area. A loud sound will play (maybe a man's war cry) to indicate that he has hit the rectangular skill shot. Stau will walk forward at his regular movement speed when he hits the rectangular skill shot area. The barrier created will become like terrain, and is not passable. Only people with dashes, flashes, or parkour can get over it. The skill shot area will have Stau walk forward for 4 seconds, and each second will have the barrier burst out a small wave, dealing AD. If an enemy gets caught in the area, it will push them with the barrier. The barrier will reduce incoming damage towards Stau himself, but not to any other champions. Ally champions cannot pass the barrier. If a champion gets caught, it will not impair their abilities and attacks. Uses mana
PLAY STYLE Stau's play style is quiet abnormal. He will be a tank with all the CC needed, however, he will have the health of a fighter, and the damage of a bruiser. Attack speed and AD can be viable, but a hybrid of tankiness and damage will prehaps be the best build. Stau will most likely be a top laner, however, can be played within the jungle, as his ultimate can be used to push the enemy champion into your teams turret. Stau will be played as a front line fighter who can dive, or can back up a dive. He can also be a potential flanker. Counters to Stau will be Talon, and anyone else with helpful dashes. Stau's damage will also be enough to withstand ADC's (unless madly fed) and assassins.
