I love these people that say that Katarina takes no skill to play, or something along the lines, without actually mastering the champion, or at least playing it enough to know what they are talking about. There is a reason that Katarina's difficulty meter is set to "high". People mistake her kit and the skill/experience to play her as easy. The kit is easy, yes. But do you even know how hard it is to utilize Kat well enough to matter in the higher elos? The tiniest cc (other than slows) can fuck up Katarina's day and make her worthless in a team fight. Of course she hangs back. She is assessing the fight. The other team has every tool needed to stop the katarina. Malphite ult was wasted, it should've been either there as a disruptor for Kat's ult, or the initiate to kill Kat with proper follow up. Malph ulted too soon and too late, and Katarina capitilized off of that. You need to have incredible positioning skill and instincts to know when to go in on Kat. It is so much more than just "pressing R" and cleaning up. You can use that logic for every champion. Cho'gath presses R and someone dies, yet funnily enough he doesn't get the same critique as Katarina does. Frankly, your response to this post is insulting to those of us that main Katarina and put the time and effort to know when to properly win the team fight and when to go in. I hope you reconsider how you view the game in general after this post, because you're probably one of those people that also makes fun of challenger players that feed at one game, saying that they shouldn't because they are somehow not human enough to be able to mess up.
