I guess what I should have said is that Frank Herbert mentions that Jessica went into the weirding room and he never explains what the hell it is or why she went in there. The book DOES say that Paul gave the Fremen new weapons and they were basically kicking Harkonnen and Sardaukar asses with them but Herbert doesn't go into detail for some reason. I've read the first book in the series close to a dozen times and Dune Messiah then Children of Dune with a little of God Emperor of Dune. The movie stuff was cool and I LOVE the movie itself with Kyle MacLachlan as Paul but the scene with him and the Fremen with that obelisk and the weirding modules is pretty much movie exclusive. I kinda wish there was more about that in the books but I suppose Herbert left that out for a reason. Another made up scene is with Paul taking the water of life. SPOILER ALERT! He takes it in secret in the book and everyone but the Feydakin and his mother Jessica think he's dead. In the movie, Chani is there and there's this whole churched-up bullshit scene with the worms surrounding him.
I'll always like the books better because there is just so much more story than the movies.
