So, I play league on a regular basis. So far out of the couple handfuls of boxes I've been able to open I seem to only receive things I already own...Why does the system work like this? Rito, ples. For the low chances for key frags to drop and then to be disappointed by an already-owned item is a real letdown. Is there anything that's supposed to be done in the future to stop this from happening?
Well you can reroll things into other things once you have 3 of them.
As for them doing something about getting things you already own, I believe a rioter mentioned that they're working on making it so you can't get champion fragments for champions you already own eventually. But again, I'm not 100% sure if that's what was said at all.
If the system worked to only give you fragments for things you don't own, it could be taken advantage of so I doubt they would change it for skins and stuff.
