That's barely an idea more of a notion and a poor one at that. I'd like to think that the design team has come along way from what would essentially equate to "Lets paint him black".
The color scheme would be a lot similar to his base skin which makes this a difficul task.

Just because you doing this with regard of one part, doesn't mean that it would be a good idea.
Look at my skins, they focus on several parts - even things like "Jhintrap Caitlyn".
Aurelion Sol main here, I'm happy to see more of these skin concepts.
I like it, but I think it's too similar to his base model. Wouldnt be much of a change.

A black hole is a collapsed star.
The Targonians punished Aurelion's disobedience by destroying stars.
Dark Star Aurelion Sol does not make sense.
Giving a cosmic and starthemed champion a cosmic and dark star themed skin sounds really boring.
Some people make the argument that Aurelion Sol was punished by Targon because they destroyed his stars and a black hole is a collapsed star, however, in his recall he makes a Wormhole/Black hole and travels in it. A worm hole is (theoretically, keep in mind I don't think this is possible to test currently,) two black holes that are entangled together then taken apart. A black hole is a collapsed star (as said before).
There for, Dark Star Aurelion would make sense. Maybe, its the side of him that does/did Targon's bidding, and because they destroyed his stars, that side of him went corrupt.
*Side Note: From my perspective, it seems like with a champion like Aurelion, his design and concept doesn't give Riot much to work with.
