Osani - The Whispering Mist
Quick summary of Osani and her thought process-
I always loved that feeling of playing the support and brawling an enemy champion and succeeding due to your kit/build/ and over all them under estimating you. I wanted to take that to the next level and look at current things people were really looking for in a support, and what they didn't like about the support role. This started off with my concept for Osani; a support who didn't need an ally to succeed in fighting. As well on PBE (though I understand it is PBE and many weird things happen) I have seen the rising trend of double bruiser bottoms with a good choice of crowd control because no one liked being pressured into that "I do no damage and sit around and fight over wards" connotation that comes highly with playing support. As well I saw a lot of people really gearing towards a champion fit for the bottom lane that used an alternative resource. I mashed many concepts together, many kits, and many resources (which had Osani use energy for quite some time) until I decided to try to look for an original resource bar.
As well I always loved Kha'Zix's design of "evolve and adapt" which also inspired her "Even if you choose me you'll never know what I'll truly do." Which is never the case in other champions because champions of course are picked to bring a certain aspect to the match, when I wanted to take it a step farther and have Osani be able to take multiple routes and play styles even in a 45 second team fight.
Below I'll be going more in depth of what I see her ability descriptions would be, but I know many people (like myself) don't like reading on and on about how often this spell can be casted, or the crunching numbers behind it. So I didn't put way too much thought into how the numbers will all come together but to get that feel so you know where she lies. **So here is the TL;DR of her kit! ** Passive: Osani spawns untargetable idols, these make her invisible and slow the next enemy hit, 3 idols can be spawned and will despawn if she is too far or she has interacted with them.
Q: Passive: Explains Osani's resource bar- Reserve. Each successful hit she makes gives her 5 reserve, doubled against large/epic monsters, tripled against enemy champs.
Active: Osani shields and ally that only scales with Reserve. The shielded ally can now interact with her idols like she can.
W: Buffs next three attacks to give additional Reserve and grounds whomever is hit. If all three hits are used on a single target they are rooted for a short time.
E: Shoots a slow moving fog that deals damage per second that she can recast twice to emerge from.
R: (This will be a little tricky to explain in a shorter sense but!) Osani becomes no longer targetable as she becomes a targeting missile. She can recast it three times and has three seconds to make each cast or the ability activates. Her idols slowly expand in radius, and she may travel to: ally champions, enemy champions, and idols. The third cast (or if another cast is not made in time) she will cast judgment. On enemy champs this deals high single damage, ally champs she heals them to a max health percentage (no farther above, look below for details) or an idol to have it explode and deal moderate damage.
So into who she actually is!
Osani- The Whispering Mist Role: Support, brawler Resource Bar: Reserve (max 200 res.)
Kit-
**Passive: Forced Recognition ** Osani's consumed state summons idols that are shrouded in fog. These idols evaporate Osani making her invisible to enemies and buffs her next attack that slows the next enemy hit by 10% for two seconds. These idols (max three idols) are untargetable by enemies and last 2 seconds once interacted by Osani or a blessed ally, or if Osani is too far.
Q: Reserve and Release Passive: Osani contains her will in reserve. Each attack she makes against a target grants her 5 reserve, this is doubled against large and epic monsters and killing an enemy unit. This is tripled against enemy champions.
Active: Osani radiates her blessing into an ally. Granting them 30/50/70/90/110 (+ 1/1.5/2 per reserve) as a shield and gain the same buff while inside the fog idols until the shield breaks.
**W: Mortal Reminder ** Osani's will floods her hands and her next three attacks will ground the target. Mortal Reminder empowers her fists to grant her 15 additional reserve with each hit. If all three attacks are landed on a single target they will become rooted for two seconds.
E: Rolling Dissipation Osani releases a slow moving blast of her energy in the form of a fog that deals 15/30/45/60/75 (+.4 AD) physical damage each second as is passes through enemies. She may recast the ability up to two times to emerge from the fog.
R: Shrouding Judgment Osani's spirits dissipate her mortal body into the Whispering Mists. She is able to travel to ally champions, enemy champions, and fog idols (three casts). She has three seconds to travel to a next target before judgment will be sentenced. While Shrouding Judgment is active her idols will not disappear but will build and slowly expand. If she travels to a champion from an idol she will not be seen by enemies . Her final cast will decide judgment on the target on impact. If the final target is an ally she will heal them to 25%/30%/35% max health, though will not heal them any more past this percentage. If the victim is an enemy champion they will take 75/150/225 (+.25 AD) physical damage. If the last cast is on a fog idol, the idol explodes dealing 50/100/150 (+.4 AD) physical damage.
Personally my favorite part of both league of legends and creating really rough champions and concepts is their lore. I love how each character has a reason to why they fight, why they're in the Rift, or even just why they have the abilities they do. Osani's lore branched off another concept of mine for a champion and blossoms because it's inspired off my hatred for Yasuo.
**Lore- ** "My elder, my grandfather. . gone. Due a man who believed his wind would save us all yet his ignorance is what left my family dead. Now I will show him his blindness; I will show them all their blindness."
All who know my story has either earned death or honor from my fists. I am one with the Whispering Mist. A spirit who became one with me because my will, my desire to expose a traitor for who he is. It craved recognition and to be renown and I needed it's power to redeem my family name. To take back my honor and my grandfather's memory. I vowed to become his champion; his vessel.. so I may see Yasuo bleed as much as my tribe did as he turned his back on his rightful duty. I shall cast his final judgment. I am the judge, my slain the jury, and the Whispering Mist the executioner. ** I also have a lot of ideas when it comes to jokes/taunts with champions (of course top three being Riven, Yasuo, and Taliyah).
I'm still going through the process of creating how she looks. But a quick concept (which is never concrete) is:
Asian/African Royalty gown that is not meant to touch dirt that's cut, tied, and drawn back in places to allow easier movement. Glowing white markings that flow up her arms to contrast her deep skin Afro textured hair braided back loosely Bare footed
