Skins are supposed to visualize champions in different aspects.

Besides, the Warden skin line represents the protecters of people. Bard protects stuff, I guess.

Also, as a side note: Bard isn't a forest spirit. He's a celestial being, similar to Soraka.

u are right but i cant imagine this fat lovely guy wear armor and fight on a battle field. i rather have baker bard(when is that skin for pantheon coming out?) or something nice like that.

i misunderstood him as a spirit of the forest cause of the miyazaki animate, the little guys in that animation lookes exactly like bard's chime.

Except Bard isn't a protector of people. He's a protector of balance. As you saw in his cinematic, he doesn't really stop to help people.

Bard is not a forest spirit, he is a celestial creature.
He would not be wearing armor. He would be the armor. Bard is not actually present in Runeterra, so he manipulates a ragdoll body. In his skins, he manipulates something different in place of his ragdoll (In elderwood, a collection of branches, leaves and cloth. In Snowday, he took over some winter clothes)
