I started playing Gnar recently and I really liked his kit and he matches my playstyle. But i really have a problem with his ult and passive. I think Riot should make his ult become a mini Gnar/Mega Gnar form change. So you could do like Nidalee, Jayce or Elyse. This could really make him a viable champion and he could be played in competitive scene. Now he just does not fill any meta.

The entire point of gnar is his inability to freely change, but when he does he gets insane CC and becomes a very bulky tank. If he could freely change he'd just be another lame form changer with his entire identity (rage gene) nonexistent.
Yeah... It's kind of the whole point of his kit that his transformation is NOT his ultimate or a controllable ability. Gnar is already becoming stronger in terms of win rate, and tbh, it is just a matter of time before his full potential is reached and he stops trying to fit the meta and instead redefines the meta. He is really a very well designed champ that just has a nearly limitless skill cap, since his transformation is so variable and hard to control, i.e. once someone actually masters his transformation to a T, then I believe he will be the strongest champ in the game. Right now, he is just going through the issues of a completely new style of transformation and the inconsistency that comes with brand new concepts like this.
