Slypharia, the Soulscribe.

Pre-Concept Note: I'm DaDurkShadow, a Level 30, Silver IV player with a lot of ideas for no apparent reason. This is the first Champion Concept I've made for League, most of my character concepts seem to fit the style of League really well, so i decided to morph one of them to fit the lore of this game a bit more. I do hope all of you enjoy this concept, as I have put a lot of time and effort into trying to create a vivid and interesting character concept that hasn't been seen within the actual game yet.

Lore: Amidst Runeterra exists many creatures and many magics. Of them all, no one stands higher than another. Despite this fact, beings constantly clash within the League of Legends, fighting to become the best and the strongest of all champions. To some however, it becomes a pain to watch those blessed with magic and vigor to clash in such insolent ways. While walking through the Rift, these champions fill themselves with powerful items to try and gain control of the heat of battle, only to find one side victorious. Their misuse of magic becomes a burden to magic itself, for many use the everlasting force of Mana to fight. Mana, the force which can be used for all and is returned to the world when used, is bound to the Soul of those whom use Magic. Slypharia, a messenger of a more powerful force, has been sent to Runeterra to alleviate this burden on the great force of Magic. She knows of Magic's true nature, a spirit of spirits, whom grant it's blessing on the souls of those beneath it. They were to be used for greatness, to help a failing world, no matter where they may be from. And yet, Runeterra's many beings of power have begun to misuse much of it's strength. They morphed it's purpose, molded it into corrupted power. And thus, to see to the change of this misuse, Sylpharia was given an ancient artifact of illusive power. A wellspring of magic which took form of an Inkwell, capable of reversing the gifts the Great Force had granted those of Runeterra. While she has much to learn, she found herself among the League of Legends to end the misuse of Magic.

Summary:

Here's some basic stuff about her, the micro of most of the post by now. These are all PROJECTED ideas and thoughts, and I am more than open to any changes to the actuality of the stats.

Attack: ■■□□□□□□□□ - [2] Defense: ■■■■□□□□□□ - [4] Ability: ■■■■■■■□□□ - [7] Difficulty: ■■■■■■□□□□ - [6]

Roles: Primary: Mage Secondary: Support

Gender: Female Race: ??? Resource: Mana

Base Statistics:

Health: 527.0 (+71.2 per Level) HP/5: 6 - 13.5 (+0.24 per Level) Mana: 456 - 1135 (+37.7 per Level) MP/5: 10.3 - 19.4 (+0.10 per Level) AD: 63 - 106 (+2.39 per Level) AS: 0.625 (+2.5% per level) Armor: 20 - 78 (+3.2 per Level) Magic Resist: 32.5 (+2.43 per Level) Movement Speed: 330 Range: 500

Abilities:

With all of that technical stuff, let's get to the meat of the topic, shall we? Same as with our basic summary,

Passive: Blessing of Magic After Casting a Spell, Magic will grant Sylpharia a special cast with different effects. This passive can only be used once every Minute.

  • Q Second Cast: Silent Starflame- The Force of Magic creates a starfire and fires it at an enemy, dealing 40/45/50/55/60 (+20% AP) Magic Damage.
  • W Second Cast: Chamber of Stone - The Force of Magic creates a Chamber of Stone, rooting an Enemy for 1.5 seconds.
  • E Second Cast: Aquatic Ring - The Force of Magic creates a Ring of Water which slows an Enemy by 25% for 2 seconds.
  • R Second Cast: Essence Reaper - The Force of Magic rips Mana out of a specified target and gives it to Slypharia.

Active Abilities So I bet those Passive abilities confused you, even if it's just a little bit. Well, don't worry. They don't have anything to do with her actual abilities, they are only to add some variety to her kit. With that little note, lets continue, shall we?

Q: Sigil of Soul Ripping. Using her Inkwell, Slypharia draws a Sigil that rips the enemy's soul, which deals 45/55/65/75/85 (+35% AP) Magic Damage.

Skill Type: Point and Click. Secondary Cast Type: Point and Click

Cast Range: 900 Cooldown: 13/11/9/7/5 Mana Usage: 40/60/80/100/120

W: Sigil of Mana Channeling Using her Inkwell, Slypharia draws Sigils that channels Mana from an Enemy to her. A backlash of 2.5% Maximum Health is needed in order to complete the bond.

Mana Channeled: 5%/10%/15%/20%/25% Mana. Mana Channeling Time: 5 Seconds.

This ability also has a secondary effect. If more Mana than Slypharia's maximum Mana is channeled, the connection becomes unstable and deals 10% of maximum health as Magic Damage to both allied and enemy Minions and Champions except for the champion being channeled and Slypharia.

Skill Type: Point and Click Secondary Skill Type: Skill Shot

Cast Time: 1 Second. Cast Range: 700 Cooldown: 20/18/16/14/12 Mana Usage: No Cost. Health Usage: 2.5% maximum health.

E: Sigil of Soul Severance Using her Inkwell, Sylpharia draws a sigil and lays it in a single place. When an Enemy champion steps onto the Sigil, it activates and that severs the Soul from the Body of the enemy champion. The enemy champion then controls the Soul while the Body stays in place. When the soul is severed from the body, the body takes an increased 20% damage, but the soul cannot be damaged. At the same time, the Soul deals a decreased 20% damage, but gains mana from dealing damage. The Soul returns to the body where it stands when the ability ends.

Skill Type: Mine Type. Secondary Skill Type: Skill Shot.

Cast Duration: 6/8/10/12/14 Cast Range: 1000 Cooldown: 21/19/17/15/13. Mana Usage: 100/110/120/140/140

R: Surge of Manatides Sylpharia spills the ink in her Inkwell and it begins to surge Mana from both allies and enemies. The Mana compresses and after 3 seconds, it pulses out violently, healing allies for 70/90/110/130/150 (+30% AP) and damaging enemies for 80/90/100/110/120 (+30% AP) as Magic Damage. The Mana taken does NOT refill her Mana.

Skill Type: Area of Effect Secondary Skill Type: Area of Effect Mana Surged: 10%/20%/30% of Current Mana. Cast Range: 1100 Cooldown: 110/90/70 Seconds

Last Notes

Thanks for taking the time out of your day to check out this rather long Champion Concept. The general design of this post is based off of Vorazun's Champion Concept, Lenore, the Dreamweaver. I absolutely LOVED how clean and smooth it is, so I'm walking down that path with some of my own adjustments to make everything much clearer for the community to read. All comments and criticisms are welcome, but only things that are constructive. Thank you once again for your time, and I wish you luck out on the Rift!

Yours Truly, DaDurkShadow
