Gigas, The Gromp King

Gigas is a tanky bruiser class whose initiation and cc is comparable to that of Leona.
Something like the picture below with the rock hard neck, mushrooms, and of course color.

PASSIVE- Skin of the Gromp- Whenever Giga kills an enemy unit or champion he gains a stack that reduces poison damage by a fixed amount. Whenever Gigas reaches 30% health he releases the buildup of stacks as poison damage to any enemy within a fixed radius. The damage is based upon the percentage of resistance that he has. Thus being set back to 0 and starting over.

Q- ** Gromp Kick**- Gigas basically drop kicks the opponent knocking them back if they hit another enemy champ they will be stunned and the 2nd one will continue being knocked back the remaining distance. If they hit a wall they will bounce off it the remaining knock back distance. This can also be used on allies to knock them either away from an enemy, into a team, or over a wall.
Q with Gigas Spit- Any enemy covered in Gromp Spit that gets kicked sticks to whatever it gets knocked into. Examples, towers, other champs, walls, minions.

W- The Brethern- Gigas stomps the ground creating a puddle of mud in which a maimed/ disfigured gromp comes out and runs forward a certain distance attaching itself to and slowing the first enemy it comes into contact with. If he reaches the end of his run distance he will run back towards the puddle and disappear. Any enemy encountered running back will be attached to and slowed as well. If any enemy runs across the puddle while the gromp is out they are slowed while on it.
W with Gigas Spit - 2 Gromps spawn from the puddle and run straight for the closest enemy with the spit. If there is more than one enemy the gromps will go for separate champs. But if not they will go for the same one. The gromps no longer slow but they takes a bite out of the enemy champ healing Gigas. Any champ who has the debuff on and walks across the puddle becomes poisoned.

E- Tongue Slap- Gigas shoot his tongue at an enemy dealing damage and sticking to them. Meanwhile Gigas gets on all 4s preparing to leap to the target, if the enemy stuck stays stuck for a duration Gigas will jump straight to the enemy. Gigas can stick his tongue to his allies, increasing their armor and magic resist, and also increasing the range they can walk before the tongue becomes unstuck. After a channel Gigas leaps to his ally damaging and slowing any enemy within the landing zone. E with Gigas Spit- When the tongue lands it roots the target in place while Gigas prepares to launch.

R- Croak -Gigas inhales then shoots out a glob of spit in a cone in front of him that does damage as well as attaches itself to enemy champs slowing them and empowering his other abilities. Any ability used on an enemy with spit removes the stack and the slow. And only one ability will be empowered.

Gigas only remembers cages, needles, and the face of a mad scientist. He was taken from his swamp as a tadpole and grown in a lab where experiments were performed on him frequently. From the beginning rage was born into his heart. He eventually evolved into a gromp along with several others. They watched as each one was killed from experiments. Exploding, burned alive, poisoned, made into mad creatures, these were only a few of the many ways they watched others perish. And not just gromps, dragon kin, spiders, wolves, birds, this scientist experimented on everything including humans. Till one day the scientist went to far and caused an explosion that burned the lab down. The scientist escaped as volatile concoctions spilled everywhere and the bodies of countless victims fell. Gigas watched vile after vile spill and splatter everywhere. The shelf above his cage broke and mixtures poured down onto him, his cage broke open and he fell out onto a human. He only remembers closing his eyes and hearing the lab collapse.

Out of the ashes Gigas arose, born a new, bigger, better, stronger. He had shielded his brethren and several gromps survived. But they were burned, and scarred from the experiments, maimed, disfigured. Gigas made a vow to help them, and led them to a swamp filled with gromps. As soon as he brought them near, the other gromps ran away and the alpha gromp made it clear that Gigas's brothers were not welcomed here. Fit with rage Gigas attacked the alpha, but the other gromps attacked him. As soon as they did the alpha made a run for it, abandoning his pack. Gigas made short work of the pack with his new found abilities and decided to not just help his brethren but lead them. He made the swamp his domain and established his territory. He welcomed any and all creatures including the tadpoles he raised from the old pack. He took good care of his kingdom. But in his heart there was only one thing on his mind, Revenge. He met a passing wanderer Jayce who he told his story to. Jayce told Gigas of the scientists of Zaun and how some had joined the League of Legends. At once Gigas remembered hearing the name of the scientist who conducted experiments on him and his friends. And vowed to make him pay for the horrors caused to himself and his brothers. So Gigas set out to find Warwick.

This is... well, to put it bluntly, not very exciting. Now before you write this comment off, let me try to explain in a helpful, constructive manner.

I look at this kit right now, and it seems like your standard tanky bruiser/initiator champion. In other words, I can't really find a specific niche that Gigas fills that would warrant me picking him over other champions that fill a similar role (Leona, Nautilus, Sejuani, Amumu, etc.) Now, granted, those champions also have pretty boring skills if you look at each skill individually (one's a gap closer, one's cc, one is aoe, one's a defensive steroid, and so on). However, those champions possess something that I fell Gigas currently lacks, which is cohesion and synergy in his kit.

Let me give a few examples.

Gigas has not one, but two gapclosers in his Q and E. That itself can make Gigas a very mobility-centric tank that relies on good positioning and spell placement (Think about how Sona relies on having very precise positioning). But then his other two spells are pretty standard - one's an AoE team-buff and the other one's an AoE cc. Neither of which relies on rapid movement across the battlefield.

Here's another example. Gigas is incentivized to auto-attack a lot because of his passive. Nautilus, Amumu, and Braum all have similar(ish) auto-attack passives. However, Gigas cannot realistically land autos on many enemies without being close to them, which requires a gap-closer. And his gap-closers lose effectiveness unless he has landed autos first. Compare this to champs like Nautilus, who can reliably auto since they can get close to champions in the first place.

There's definitely some potential here (whether you go with playing to his strength in mobility or taking a different route entirely). Of course, you might end up creating something like Amumu, which has a relatively binary kit (get in, CC everyone, tank while dealing AoE damage) - but I'd challenge you to make something more... exciting.

maybe an added passive is that poison based damage is reduced to 50% or even poison immunity but not sure if that would be too OP

So the idea for Tahm was in no shape or form born from Gigas?
