A helpful way to improve matchmaking

As the game stands right now, the ability to ban a champion during ranked games is pretty much pointless. There are too many champs that can, and do, steamroll the game if they come out ahead. This isn't necessarily a bad thing. However, what would make the game more interesting is the ability to make pointed bans. Instead of just asking us to ban whomever we think is the "new OP" champ of the patch having the ability to take a look at your lane opponents most played champions would allow the opportunity to outplay and outthink the opposition. If a system like this were implemented, it would allow for everyone to be more like the pro league where pointed bans happen all the time. It would allow for more diverse banning and more interesting game play.
