Kelen, the Shadow's Edge
Greetings everyone,
Since we lack assassins in this game (right? :D), I’ve had this new fantastic idea.
I appreciate the time you spend on reading this and will ask you to be objective when you write a reply/comment. =) Hopefully you like it.
Kelen, the Shadow’s Edge
Behold the derp lore; I will try to change it as time progresses, but I’m more interesting with what can be done with this kit and how you guys like it.
Kelen was once a well-known and respected member of the Dauntless Vanguard, siding with Garen. He was not, however, a typical demacian soldier. His approach to combat was a very different one from the Dauntless Vanguard and especially from Garen. He was the Shadow’s Edge; you would never see him enter the combat, he would just appear behind you, cut you and leave you bleeding to death, while disappearing afterwards, with almost no counter-attack possible. As such, he would often be characterized as a skilled assassin, rather than a relentless frontline Vanguard, like Garen.
Kelen never knew his parents. He was an orphaned child who grew up in an orphanage with the dreams of one day being the Demacian hero, putting an end to Noxus, but as he aged his convictions altered and he became more and more detached. His skill in combat was undeniable and, not wanting to waste such talent, he was put into the Dauntless Vanguard by Jarvan the III himself, thinking that his potential could be best realized at this position. How the King became to know this no-name orphan was never revealed, alas the Dauntless Vanguard had neither trust nor respect for the new member, but had to cope with it from King’s respect.
Over the years Kelen demonstrated his abilities in battles against Noxus. He slowly gained fame and respect from his compatriots, of all of them, but one: Garen. The Might of Demacia always looked upon him with a skeptical eye, always expecting a backstab; Kelen considered Garen a fool as well - the way he charged into battle was reckless and anticlimactic, and completely opposed to Kelen’s style of combat. Kelen’s style was studying the foe, detecting weaknesses, covering the distance unnoticed, killing the target and leaving undetected. It had to be done perfectly and for this perfection he trained every day and every night.
The animosity escalated as Garen came to know the rumor about Kelen having developed some feelings for Luxanna, Garen’s sister. Infuriated, he immediately paid a visit to Kelen.
“Get up! “ - Garen rushed into the tent, but Kelen was nowhere to be seen. - “Where are you?” The tent was empty, the candle burned softly, illuminating it. “How can I help you, captain?” Kelen’s voice came from behind, as Garen turned to behold the figure. “I want you out of here now and forever. You are no longer a member of Dauntless Vanguard. Take your belonging and may I never see you again, or I shall put an end to you.” Garen responded. “You threaten me one more time…” Kelen drew his blade. “ And you shall never see anything again.” Garen drew his sword now, twice as long. “Captain?” A voice came from another tent, as Garen was about to charge. He looked around and saw members of Dauntless Vanguard gathered around them. He took a glance at Kelen again and demanded: “Leave, now!” “I’ve not wronged you in any way. “ Kelen responded, sheathing his blade. He looked around and saw people looking at him and then at Garen, confused. One of them had to leave, and Kelen knew the squad would never question Garen’s decisions. So he left the Dauntless Vanguard and Demacia.
No One had seen Kelen for years. It was rumored that he had left for the Great Barrier, isolating himself as a monk, whose religion was assassination. As the time passed and League of Legends was born, he appeared once again, as a Champion now, perhaps craving vengeance and the duel that he didn’t get in the past. Nobody knew his intentions for sure though, as he stated that he would be joining the League to “prove his mastery through defeating the Champions of the Runeterra.” One thing was clear: he had not lost his shape; much on the contrary, he was stronger, faster and stealthier than before.
“ Isolation shaped the perfection in me; now it’s time to demonstrate the art. “ - Kelen, after joining the League of Legends.

Model Description: Kelen is a tall, muscled guy dressed in black ninja-like garb. He holds a small, razor-sharp blade in his right arm, which he sheaths when out of combat. He has no hair and his face holds an apathetic gaze. Somehow, every time he throws his blade with his Q, he always unsheathes another one =D (Mundo taught him this trick).
