Demacian Champ Idea. A Noxian Defector

Okay here is my idea.

Imagine a big burly Noxian champion that wields an ultra great sword. Resembles Sion in some way. He has a bitter rivalry with Sion which eventually leads to him defecting over to Demacia. As for his two skins on release, the main one is this Noxian defector champion in full Demacian gear while still looking slightly rough around the edges due to his background and preferences. Possibly a Demacianish ultra great sword. Now for his second skin, he dons his original Noxian armor set and weapon from his old days. Also this seems like a good way to bring more variety to lore surrounding the two nations.

So that's it. Spark anyones creativity?

Rivalry with Sion?

I could see this guy being either a former siege master upset over being replaced by an undead abomination, or perhaps an old war veteran who's mellowed out with age and had begun to respect the Demacians he had faced, possibly including the man Sion used to be, and defected in protest to what his nation did to a worthy opponent of his.

Interesting. I like your reasons that lead to the changing of his allegiances. That second part is a great way to tie this guy into the existing conflicts. Any ideas as to his appearance/fighting style/overall demeanor?

Oddly enough that is quite close to what is in my minds eye regarding his appearance.

I mean, Just rework Garen into your idea lore wise and there you go.

I like the idea, it's just there's already a big burly demacian swords man.

I do see what you mean. I feel this champion could find his own style amongst the champion pool. On the same token we do already have a ton of tank/fighters that fill this category. Think we can make it a bit more unique? Possibly a far different moveset from other tank/fighters?

I already thought of something. Say his passive has to do with his weapon. It degrades as you use it, but when you return to shop you can repair and upgrade it like you would with Gangplank ult upgrades.

I already thought of something. Say his passive has to do with his weapon. It degrades as you use it, but when you return to shop you can repair and upgrade it like you would with Gangplank ult upgrades.

That'd be hard to balance. To make it noticeable he would have to hit very hard at the beginning and taper off meaning that his level 1 forced duel would be a nightmare. Then there's the forcing him to periodically back which is the exact opposite you want to do when trying to farm up in lane.

Very good points. Maybe my method wouldn't work as well as i thought.

It would be interesting to see if we can make a zweihander user who actually plays up that he's using a weapon. Cuz let's be honest here, I like Garen the character but his in game version of swordplay is to pretend he's a spinning top.

It'd be neat to see if we can design a champion with moves at least inspired by something you would see in a fechtbuch.

Boom. That's a great way to set this guy apart from champions like Garen. I imagine his q having a small dash built into it something like the Illaoi w.
