Champion Idea: Sarath the Arcane Bladesman.
So this is an idea that has kind of been floating around my head for a while, and I was just wanting to share it.
Note: when it comes to the abilities damage, mana, cooldown etc., that isn't my department. The numbers i did put down they really were just to give an idea of the ability details.

Sarath: The Arcane Bladesman
Sarath (Sar-au-th), is a Ionian Melee/mage champion who wields to bladed Tonfa's on each arm. His abilities revolve around swapping between the dagger like heads, and the longer sword like sides.
**Passive: ** Dual Intent -If there are no enemy units within x range of him upon activating his abilities, 80% of the mana cost is refunded, and the cooldown is reduced to 3 seconds.
Dagger abilities:
Q: Counter Dash ====== Cost: x ==Range: 350, 550=== Cooldown: x/x/x/x/x==== x/x/x/x/x + (40% bonus AD)(40% bonus AP) Passive: Activating ability changes Counter Dash to Arcane Edge. First Cast: blinks a short distance away and can then activate the ability again for the dash. Second Cast: Dashes forward a short distance Dealing damage and stopping at the first champion hit. Can pass through one minion, dealing damage to both, stops at the second unit. (target area, then Skillshot)
W: Arcane Rend ====================== Cost: x ======Cooldown: x/x/x/x/x ====(60% Bonus AD on Hit), DPS: 6/10/14/18/25 + (9% bonus AP on Bleed) Passive: Activating ability changes Arcane Rend to Blade Smite. Cast: Empowers the next auto attack, dealing damage and opening a wound held open by arcane magic, dealing damage over time as the enemy bleeds out. (Empowered auto)
E: Final Cut ======= Cost: x == Range:400 ==== Cooldown 18/17/15/14/12 === (70% Bonus AD on Hit), (80% bonus AP applied to range) Passive: Activating ability changes Final Cut to Arcane Wave. Cast: Channeling arcane powers dashes to the target, deals damage in an enhanced strike, if the target is below 15/15/18/18/20% HP, the ability deals critical damage. (Point and Click)
So there are his dagger abilities. Now for his other 4, Arcane Edge, Blade smite, Arcane Wave
Q: Arcane Edge = Cost: x =Range: 0-400, 200-600 = Cooldown: x/x/x/x/x= x/x/x/x/x + (40% bonus AD on first sweep)(80% bonus AP on second sweep) Passive: Activating ability changes Arcane Edge to Counter Dash. Cast: Swipes the area in front of him with a cone, if an enemy champion or epic monster is hit with the first swipe, a second swipe borne of arcane energies, sweeping in a slightly larger cone further away from him.
W: Blade Smite ================= Cost: x ======Cooldown: x/x/x/x/x ====(60% Bonus AD on Hit), + (5% bonus AP applied to stutter duration) Passive: Activating ability changes Blade Smite to Arcane Rend. Cast: Empowers the next auto attack, dealing damage and applies a stutter effect to the enemy for 1.5 seconds. Stutter slows the enemy for 1.5 seconds, reduces attack speed for 1.5 seconds , and silences for .75 seconds. (Empowered auto)
E: Arcane Wave ======= Cost: x ============= Cooldown 18/17/15/14/12 === (40% Bonus AD on player point ), (80% bonus AP on wave.) Passive: Activating ability changes Arcane Wave to Final Cut. Cast: Channeling arcane powers, rushes forward. Arcane powers sweep forward farther past Sarath. if the enemy is hit by the arcane wave, they are slowed. If they are hit by Sarath, they are knocked back a short ways. (Skillshot dash)
Now that his basic abilities are out of the way... now onto his ultimate, which his passive affects in a different way.
R: Arcane Rush == Cost:x == Cooldown: 130/115/100 === 130/150/170 + (60% Bonus AD on impact)(40% amplification on "Enhancements" per 100 AP) Passive: Activating ability changes Arcane Rush to Arcane Maelstrom. If no target is chosen within the channel period, the cool down is refreshed with 14/13/12 second cooldown (THIS COOLDOWN IS UNAFFECTED BY C.D.R.) Cast: Activating ability marks a circular territory with a 4000/5000/6000 unit radius. And Sarath begins to channel for 3.5 seconds, while channeling he must choose a target within the Area. Upon choosing and the channel ending, he marks them and gains massively increased Movement speed, towards that target on a designated path from which he cannot deviate. He is immune to all crowd control effects except slows, from which the percentage is still reduced form his new movement speed, and applied for 1 seconds (If duration is greater than 1 second.) As he passes allied champions he gains one "Blue enhancement" if he passes an enemy champion he gains one "Red Enhancement" if he passes a large monster, he gains a "green enhancement". if he passes a Epic monster, he gains a "Purple Enhancement". Upon collision with the target all enhancements (Except green) collide with the target and deal damage. If the target leaves the area, the ability is ended immediately, and its cooldown is reduced by 40% (NO abilities may be cast during this ability)
Enhancements: (Max of 3 (Green is applied immediately, so it does not count towards max as long as he is not already at 3 enhancements)) Blue: deals 10/15/20 additional magic damage. Red: deals 7/10/14 Additional Magic damage. Green: Aplies a slow of 20% immediately. Purple: Deals 20/30/40 Additional Magic damage, but counts as 2 enhancements
R: Arcane Maelstrom == Cost:x == Cooldown: 130/115/100 === 50/60/70 + (60% Bonus AD on impact)(40% amplification on "Enhancements" per 100 AP) Passive: Activating ability changes Arcane Maelstrom to Arcane Rush.If no target is chosen within the channel period, the cool down is refreshed with 14/13/12 second cooldown (THIS COOLDOWN IS UNAFFECTED BY C.D.R.) Cast: Activating ability marks a circular territory with a 6000/7000/8000 unit radius. And Sarath begins to channel for 3.5 seconds, while channeling he must choose a target within the Area. Upon choosing and the channel ending, he marks them gaining 20% movement speed,and Sarath remains in control of his movement. A storm of arcane energies begins to swirl around him, dealing magic damage to Minions and Champions per second. the storm collapses upon attacking the marked target, dealing 90/1000/120 magic damage, and applying all enhancements (Gained in the same way as arcane Rush). (ONLY Counter dash may be cast during this ability) (Storm fades after 20 seconds)
Now onto his lore and how he ties into the Lore of Ionia (Quite well in my opinion honestly).
As a child, he watched as one of Zed's acolytes slew his family, for practice of his shadow techniques. The acolytes then gave Sarath a choice, join the Order of the Shadows, or die. Naturally the child, afraid for his life, chose to join the order. On the third day of the journey back to the Ninja temple during the dead of night, Sarath took the Shadow Acolyte's Bladed Tonfa, the same he had used to murder his family, and drove the dagger points into the man's neck as he slept. The child then fled far and alone, but he kept the weapons as they were the only thing he had left binding him to his family.
Eventually he found his way to a temple, where an old mage took him in. The man fed the child and gave him a home, schooled him in words and knowledge. One day while the old mage was practicing his magic, the noticed Sarath watching intently. The old mage paid the child no mind, and continued his practice. Then, when he was done, the young boy ran up to the man and clung to his robes, begging the mage teach him.
Though the mage was skeptical at first, he was afraid to dash the young boys already tattered soul against the rocks. and though with great doubt, for he was not certain the boy would be able to control magic, he attempted to teach him.
Though the boy struggled at first with even the most basic magical abilities. But to the mage's immense surprise, and Sarath's great joy, the boy finally succeeded in casting his first spell. The boy then began to grow, both in arcane ways, and in stature.
Shortly thereafter a young girl by the name of Syndra came to the temple. Though at first Sarath was angered by the fact that this new girl was here, taking time away from him and the man whom he looked up to as a father. He quickly realized the only thing the girl really cared about, was practicing and getting stronger with her magic. He then tried to befriend the young girl, but she always remained a little distant. And the youth began a friendly rivalry over who was better. Though the mage originally discouraged this, he came around as the friendly competition drove both farther and better down the arcane paths.
After a friendly magical dual, Sarath became very frustrated. The young girl who had only been training with the mage for a year and a half she bested him with ease. Vowing he would become the better warrior, he picked up the bladed tonfas. Though weapons were prohibited within the temple, the man had allowed the boy to keep them, as long as he didn't use them on temple grounds. Whenever the mage sent him into a nearby town for supplies, he dallied, watching the warriors train. He studied their every movement learning from them. Upon returning to the temple, he would slip outside the walls and train with the tonfas in secret.
The life of Sarath and Syndra continued on for years. One dual though, Sarath finally bested Syndra. While Sarath was elated he had finally beaten her; she was appalled. They dueled again the next day, and the next, and the next. Each time, the girl became more and more angered.
One day he took a little extra time in the village, as he sparred the warriors in training he had watched for years. He easily defeated them as the warriors stood mouth agape as the boy they had seen watch them bested them so easily.
Upon leaving the training grounds sweaty and overjoyed, Kennen ran up beside him. Sarath tried to kill Kennen, and after explaining why, Kennen spared his life, after explaining the difference between Zed's order and the other ninja.
Upon returning to the temple he found Syndra confronting their teacher. He stood still as She dashed him against the wall, killing their mentor. Anger filled him, and he dropped the things he had returned to the temple. He drew his Tonfa's and armed himself. But then, before his eyes the Syndra he knew vanished.
Dark arcane powers swirled around her. And then she tore the temple from the ground.
Broken in soul, Sarath fled. Hiding only to weep. After a few days he vowed to himself he would never grow close to another human, only to lose them. He grabbed his Tonfa's, and began to train himself again. Now he hunts the world, learning, growing stronger, for the day he can put his two demons to rest. Zed and Syndra.
Very Rough Design Concept: (sorry can't get this to work for some reason. :/ So more words.)
A dark green cloak covers his shoulders, that is buttoned down to his broad, brown leather belt, and splits into two cloth tassets draping down to his knees. Violet runes are stitched into the otherwise green fabric at the back, left shoulder, and smaller runes are written along the edge of the bottom hem. Silver fabric edges the cloak on the hem, and lapels.
On his right shoulder he has a single steel pauldron. The edge of the pauldron is beveled out and is uncolored. The Inner layer is enameled with the green dragons of Ionia on a red background, and arcing off the dragons is stylized violet energy. (This is his personal mark, the red represents the blood that must be shed for Ionia to return to its former Glory, and the Violet bolts represent his power as a mage, and his willingness to use his power to restore it {[ #Make Ionia Great Again ]}). The pauldron is held in place by a leather strap attached to his belt, and a Knife and its sheath is attached to this strap.
On his head he wears a Conical hat (the straw, circular, pointy hat that the Asian farmers wore, you know what I'm talking about).
His trousers are dark brown and he wears brown leather boots, and Silver greaves. At the top of the greaves three is an oval, with an emerald set into one leg, and an Amethyst set into the other greave.
The Bladed tonfa's are 2 1/2 feet in length. The Knife point extends past the fist 3 inches. and the Blade end curves back towards the shoulder slightly before straightening back out right before the tip. The Sharpened edge is silver, while the main body of the blade is enameled red. The Grips are wrapped in leather, and a small pommel shaped similar to a hurricane symbol is red, with a gold edge. There is a plate right underneath the grip, it is shaped like a five-point-diamond with the bottomed pointing up. The plate is edged with gold, and once again, is enameled red.
