Champion Concept: Valaura
Name: Valaura
Title: The Void Hybrid
1st Role: Assassin
2nd Role: Mage
Lore:
There is this place that is between dimensions and between worlds. To some it is known as the Outside, to others it is the Unknown. To most this place is called the Void. Despite its name, it is not a vacant space but a utopia that is filled with countless monstrosities, horrors that were never meant to be discovered. Such knowledge could never surface Runeterra, unless they were warriors brave enough to explore the depths of the Void and make it back alive. Valaura is one of those who made it… (Somewhat SImilar to
and
's lore.) (Go check em out!)
She was once a very beautiful women. Valaura even managed to find a husband and gave birth to a daughter. Eventually she was deceived into being thrown into the Void by Shuriman priests alongside many other people. As countless comrades fall victim to the unknown dangers of the Void, the immense energy of the place seeps into Valaura. Promising her unimaginable power in exchange to offer her body as a vessel. Valaura has no problem controlling the void energy that threatened to consume her. At the cost of her arm and her sanity, she was able to call for its power granting her boundless magic energy at her will and shows great mastery of her new arcane powers.
After escaping the void, she sets off on a journey to find the man responsible for the slaughter and exterminate any void creature that roam on Runeterra.
“Is this what I have become?! This is madness!” – Valaura
Skills: Passive: Deft Valaura’s adaptation in combat helps her generate a stack of “Deft” every 20/18/16 seconds. Her next auto will deal 25+ (5 x Champion level)(Ratio:0.3 AP + 0.4 AD) bonus damage and mark the target for 3 seconds. This mark interacts differently with Valaura’s skills. Every time she hits enemy champions with her abilities, she reduces the cooldown by 1 second and by 0.5 seconds for each auto attacks.
-
Deft Q: Applies a 10% slow for 2 seconds, consecutive hits will augment the slow by 5% (For a 25% slow in total)
-
Deft W: The Bleed damage is amplified by 40%. The bleeding target also splashes blood twice dealing magic damage based on 5% of their current Health to anyone within 275 units (slightly larger than Brand’s E). Any preexisting bleed on a target will refresh.
-
Deft E: Gains stealth for 0.5 seconds, upon teleporting.

Valaura infuses her claw with magic to sever a target in Melee range, decreasing her 565 attack range to 125. Her next auto attack will apply on hit effects and deals 50/60/70/80/90 (Ratio: 0.4 AP) magic damage and inflict a bleed on the target dealing 17/22/27/32/37 (Ratio: 0.25 AD) magic damage for 5 seconds. Killing a target with the enhanced attack will refund 50% of its cost and reduces its cooldown by half.

- Deft E: Stealth duration now 1 second and gains 20/25/30% Attack speed for 2 seconds
- Deft R: Now consumes 5% of mana initially and gains 25/35/45% bonus movement speed that decays over the duration of the mana drain.
Active: Hem’ion lets the void takeover her body, eating away 2% of her Mana each second (Max 10%).
Toggle: Valaura gains control back on her transformed body, changing and enhancing all her basic spells. On her next spell cast, she gains a flat damage bonus added to one spell equal to 75%/87.5%/100% of the Mana lost. The skills revert back to normal, once she uses the enhanced skill.
-
Voidborn Shadow Assault: On each cast, Valaura fires a shadow claw of 1100 units that deals 45/55/65/75/85 (Ratio: 0.4 AP) magic damage. Each claw will go through units and will increase projectile speed from 1200 units -> 1600 units -> 2000 units. The 1st claw will deal 40% of the flat damage bonus and the 2nd and 3rd will deal 30%.
-
Voidborn Incision Slash: Valaura infuses her claw with magic to sever a target in melee range decreasing her 575 attack range to 125. Her next auto attack will cleave to nearby units dealing 60/65/70/75/80 (Ratio: 0.5 AP) magic damage dealing up to 60% of the damage to units further away. The target will be also inflicted by a 40% healing reduction and a bleed that deals 20/25/30/35/40 (Ratio: 0.125 AP + 0.255 AD) Magic damage on the main target for 5 seconds.
-
Voidborn Mark of the void/Secret passage Mark of the void: Valaura throws a projectile dealing 80/90/100/110/120 (Ratio: 0.45 AP) magic damage. The unit hit is marked and grants vision to Valaura for 2 seconds. Deals 35% of flat damage bonus from Embodiment of The Void Secret passage: She may choose to recast it and teleport in the back of the marked target. Upon arrival she gains 20% damage reduction for 1.5 second and she releases a shockwave that knockbacks anyone within 400 units but the marked enemy dealing 20/40/60/80/100 (Ratio: 0.45 AP) magic damage. If she kills the marked unit she is instantly teleported to the unit killed. Deals 65% of flat damage bonus from Embodiment of The Void.
Notes: -This bonus is added and may still be affected by Magic Resist. -Silence is the only CC that can stop the skill itself.Putting The skill back on cooldown if Silenced during mana drain. If Silenced after mana drain, it will only halt Valaura from casting her enhanced skills for the silence's duration. -No Cast time.
Playstyle: Valaura is an assassin with a lot of utility. Her focus is to wither down the enemy champion with Deft(Passive) and Shadow Assault(Q), before killing them with a Mark of The Void/Secret Passage(E) and Incision slash(W). Her ultimate is a utility skill that in exchange of losing Mana each second, her skillset changes and gains flat magic damage on her next spell cast based on how much she lost, which can change her passive playstyle in lane into a high risk and high reward champion.
Cons: With a lack of any superior option in lane, because of her high mana costs, high cooldowns early on and low damage, as an assassin she is forced to play a very safe lane instead of outplaying the opponent. Her kit is implemented with a lot of different skillshots, which means the player has to hit every skill to make good use of her.
Pros: Unlike other assassins where most are strong early game and falls off late game, Valaura shines mid to late game due to her build path (building mana items gets champion tanky), her mobility due to her ultimate and her utility because of the flexibility in her basic skills. With all this in mind the enemy will have a hard time predicting what she could pull off.
