NOTE: FIRST EVER CHAMP DESIGN SO PLS DONT GET AGGRO :c :c Who he is: Valnirath, the vengeful soul A dark and twisted assassin. Brought up in Noxus in an Adoption Home, he left the home at 16 and turned to a life of crime. His parents had been murdered when he was a child by the infamous murderous group led by Ekko. Valnirath’s mission is to kill Ekko, the man who killed his parents and bring peace to their graves. Kit:

Passive: Reputation Everytime Valnirath gets a kill onto an enemy champion he gains a stack of Reputation. Every stack of reputation gives him an additional +5 gold permanently on every kill following. Upon death, Valnirath loses 1 stack of reputation.

Q: Stinging blow Valnirath throws a dagger projectile in any direction around him dealing 70/85/100/120/140 (+0.6 ad). If the dagger hits a target, Valnirath can blink onto the target dealing an additional 20/30/40/50/55 damage, slowing them by 40% for 2 seconds and leaving a Mark of Execution.

W: Shadow Protection Valnirath gains 30 magic resist and 30 armour for 2 seconds. If during those 2 seconds Valnirath is attacked by an enemy, Valnirath will go invisible for 3 seconds.

E: Withering Strike Passive: Attacks against a target lower than 40% hp apply a bleed dealing 20/30/40/50/60 magic damage (+0.2 ap) per second over 3 seconds. Empowers the next auto attack to deal an additional 10/20/30/50/60 (+0.45 ad) physical damage (applies sheen and can crit). That empowered auto attack consumes Mark of Execution to stun the opponent for .75 seconds.

R: Dashing Blade After using an ability, Valnirath can use Dashing Blade to unlock a new aspect of each of his basic abilities. Q: Whenever Valnirath hits and utilizes the blink on his q (stinging blow), he can cast Dashing Blade for 2 seconds to blink back to the position at which he threw the original projectile.
W: If Valnirath is invisible: If Valnirath is invisible and casts Dashing Blade, Valnirath will gain +15 hp regen (ps) for 4 seconds. If Valnirath is visible: If Valnirath is visible and casts Dashing Blade, Valnirath will gain 40% movement speed for 4 seconds. E: After Valnirath casts Withering Strike (but does not use the auto attack), Valnirath can cast Dashing Blade to double the damage output from the empowered auto attack.

PERSONAL THOUGHTS:

  • His q may just be a little too ‘LeeSin Lee Sin-likeLeeSin ’ but potentially the mark and cool visual effects could differentiate the two. Playstyle: Valnirath is an extremely potent mid lane assassin, crushing other melee mid laners with his many blinks. Building crit and maxing e will do a lot of damage in lane and at level 6 provides a great window of opportunity to jump in on your opponent and drop their health instantaneously. Valnirath can also be a strong top laner. With many escape routes including his ult, q and w, Valnirath has the potential to be a strong pushing top laner. Note that Valnirath does not have any in-built wave clear so building a ravenous hydra or sunfire cape will be necessary for this to work. When playing tank Valnirath, get up in the front lines and attempt to hit your q on the enemy target (adc or fed other). Valnirath’s q has no range limit so landing a q on the right enemy will normally always end with a kill for your team (with the e stun follow-up) (presuming your team is there to back you up). When playing assassin Valnirath, stack crit and w into team fights, turning invisible once hit. Whilst invisible try and jump on an enemy squishy with your q and e+r which will normally end up with a kill for your team.

Updates: ~ Buffed Q Ratio (0.2 - 0.6) ~ Clarity on passive ~ Nerfed stun duration (1.5 seconds - 0.75 seconds)

He has a talon-esque feel to him due to the jump and the blades idea. However he is unique enough to feel like a new champion, I think that it will work pretty well. His R seems a bit like Karma's R in that it empowers each of his abilities but it is still pretty cool. With the passive though, I feel like Valnirath can snowball quickly because he can earn so much gold. Does the passive work whenever he kills something? (so minions and neutral monsters also count as well as champions). I think the ad ratio on his Q should be buffed a bit, he seems fairly weak.

Nice concept though!

The stun duration is waaaay too long. In DotA, those stun durations are fine because of the nature of DotA characters being more DpS based, and the lack of assassin characters proves this. However, LoL is a completely different game. LoL is all about blowing up your opponent, and the number of assassin champions is outrageous, showing that this is the case. If you think it's too weak otherwise, make it descale by 0.1 per level, from the 1.5, simply because late game that 1.5 second stun is going to be unstoppable, unless the entire enemy team builds quicksilver sash, which is highly unlikely.
