Champion design : The Fallen King

  1. Introduction Hello people! This is my second champion idea for the game ( you can find my first one here: http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/skin-champion-concepts/KfJHiwTE-champion-design-drath-the-voids-hand ) and I am really glad that I got support from you guys and I hope you will like this one too. As you can see from the name, The Fallen King, I was inspired from the in game item: Blade of the Ruined King item 3153 and my aim for this champion is to introduce a new concept in order to make him harder , but also more rewarding to play. So here we go:
  • Backstory As the name suggests, I wanted to aim for yet another sad story that would make you cope with the champion. I imagine FK as a tall figure wearing a hooded cape in such a matter that it would hide his identity. He wields a sword made out of dark matter and in the other hand a demon-looking gauntlet. "A monster. That is what they called me. Long ago I saved humanity from an extinct, pre-void race: the demons. Because of the deal I made with their lord, for power, in order to save my people, the saw me as a . . . a monster, a killer, even though I didn't kill any of my . . . their kind now. I don't know if the Demonlord gave me this power because he had hoped to kill me. But the results were much, much worst. The humans shunned me, the demons called me an abomination, the beasts of the void called me a disgrace, the yordles hid from me, the reapers of the Shadow Isles refused to kill me, the people of Piltover couldn't understand what made me tick and even the greatest warriors feared me.

  • Abilities In order to change the gameplay of this champion, I thought of a new secondary bar, which I have yet to find a good name for, so if you want to name it be my guest. I call it the "soul bar", which is filled by 1 whenever an enemy character is killed ( such as a jungle monster or a minion ) and is filled by half or by a quarter whenever a champion or greater monster is killed ( such as Baron or Dragon ). Every ability would use a number of souls and if the ability is used at its full extent, then it's cost would be refunded. So in order to use his abilities then you would need to clear minion waves as good as you can. Because of this constant need to farm, all champions that have this secondary bar take 1% x number of souls less damage ( to a max of 50 % ), but they must all be melee champions or have another drawback. _Passive - "Impure Blood" _: Because of the mix of blood inside FK's veins, healing is only 50% efficient ( instead of being healed 50 health, he is healed for 25 points ), but his damage is increased passively by 25%. The number of souls that FK can hold is calculated this way : 10 x level ( at max level gain another +10 x 1/4 kills soul capacity ). Q - "Deflect" : Cost: 5/10/15/20/25 souls ; Cooldown: 10 at all ranks - reduced by 5% of the damage taken while using this ability FK uses the power of his gauntlet to stop incoming damage. He blocks 50 x champion level x 1/4 remaining souls damage, then shields himself for the damage dealt in this time. (the shield lasts 2.5 x ability level - max 10 secs ) W - "Bond" : Cost: 10/20/30/40/50 souls ; Cooldown: 10/9/7.5/6/5 FK empowers his spirit sword, making the next hit deal 150% of his AD (+ 0.5% remaining souls as true damage) and slows the target by 10/15/20/25/30% + the true damage dealt as extra percentage. E - "Vengeance" :Passive Whenever an enemy or friendly unit dies near FK, his damage is increased by 0.5% x number of killed units and by 10% x number of killed champions for 10 seconds. R - "Release" : Cost: 100% of FK's souls ; Cooldown: 100 seconds at all ranks FK targets an enemy champion within sight and blinks to it instantly. After that he releases all the souls he gathered into a devastating attack, dealing double that number as true damage + 100/125/150% of his AD as normal damage. After 1/1.25/1.5 seconds, he takes half of the amount dealt as magic damage. If he remains with more than 50% of his health, then the cooldown of "Release" is reduced by 10%. Otherwise, he is slowed by 25%. ! If FK were to cast Deflect before taking the damage from the ultimate, then 50% of the damage would be negate, but as a drawback, he would suffer from a 75% slow for a time equal to 1% of the damage given. (Note: The aim of this ult is to use it to kill an enemy in order to gain souls so after that you would be able to use the "Deflect" ability.)

"Not so rusty yet." Upon gaining a soul : "It only gets heavier. . ." "Just another burden. . ." "Still got plenty of room here. . ." Upon killing an enemy champion : "Tsk. Tsk. Tsk." "Not good enough, I guess. . ." Upon using Q "Soul's still holding in me. . ." "Almost." "That almost hurt. Almost." Upon using W "More souls for mine." "This'll hurt." "Watch out." Upon using R "Now you'll get to see my burden." "Feels good being free again. . . for a while." "Now back to killing. . . again." "Even I felt that." Taunting : "You're soul. . . Oh no it's there." I think this is a great concept and would live to see it come to life. Its very well thought out. My brother and I have come up with a concept. Its not as well thought out but could you give it a look and tell me what you think its called The Living Mirror. Thanks.
