Riot, can in-game summoner icons please be made to match skins?

first, Champion portrait, not summoner icon - Those are different things.

Second, No. The champion portraits in game are unchanging so that no matter what game you're in and what skins people are using, you can quickly and easily identify a champion on the minimap and on your team status bar.

EDIT: Let me put Unchanging in quotes - "unchanging" - because it changes with the primary skin splash art.

This is a horrible idea

I think this would be a cool idea, but like Lumus Avatar said, it would be kind of confusing trying to identify certain champs right away, and also it would a lot of work to do. Imagine how much coding Riot would have to do to get this to work for every single skin of every single champion.
